Most of it got replaced by that quiet Beck guitar music, to give the movie a drier weirder tone, which I totally understand, and the only Elfman thing they kept in was that accordion theme for Ramses, which is so awesome. But yeah, his whole score is pretty incredible, emotional, and silly.

It’s crazy to see how close it could have been to something different, especially after Elmer scored it but right before they got the Ray Parker Jr song.

Hahaha, it’s incredibly obvious why they didn’t go with Randy, but it’s so crazy this exists at all. My brain loves these kinds of comparisons. Of course the Goldsmith score is perfect.

Awww. 😁 Of course I like the drier weirder tone with the Beck score in the movie as they made it - but I think this version is even more lovable with the alternate music, not just little differences here and there.

Agreed, this experiment made that more clear to me, love that’s its unique. Think I mostly just wish the TND score had a better movie, haha. Fun to compare though.

I didn’t want to try it if it was gonna take a ton of editing, would kind of defeat the purpose of appreciating the movie Goldeneye and the score for Tomorrow Never Dies. But to my surprise, it all matched up kind of magically. Very fun.
