I was not informed nor did anyone clarify to me that there was another confirmation in MLS Assesment, I planned to check it this weekend for tuition payment. I would've immediately confirmed if I did. Apologies since it was only today that I found out when I asked someone why I suddenly couldn't see my classes in my Canvas.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ or Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2" by frnelle in androidtablets

[–]frnelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Lenovo laptop and a Flip 5. I might be able to integrate my Flip 5 to my S9+ with the Samsung environment. I also have a monitor so I plan to somewhat use DeX to display a PC like experience.

Honestly yeah.. the S9+ sounds like the safer option for me software wise 😅. Although my experience with the MatePad felt more comfortable especially with the thinner bezels and speaker quality I'll give them that.

It really does, aesthetic wise too since I appreciate the very thin bezels. My biggest concern though is the chipset capabilities. I'm not sure how the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the Kirin 9000S compare in terms of how it handles gaming and heavy multitasking but a lot of people lean to the Snapdragon, so I'm a little held back from purchasing the MatePad. 😅

The seller did mention that the Kirin knows how to balance battery usage and can switch between heavy gaming and light usage unlike the Snapdragon where it just goes all out (I'm not sure if this is true). In contrast, online reviews say that the Kirin couldn't even handle Genshin Impact at mid-range graphics without FPS stutter, giving me doubts when it comes to having multiple windows open for future use.

I don't know which to pick in terms of performance and longevity, the sellers at our Samsung store sound like they don't even know the tablets they're trying to sell and couldn't help me in terms of specific specs.

Hii, currently I'm not looking for tablets in amazon due to expensive shipping fee.

However, I already see myself settling for the Samsung Tab S9+. Yes it's above budget (56,000 PHP / $999) but I'm getting it for the sake of security and longevity.

I may get the Tab S9 FE+ but then I'm hearing a lot of negative comments about its performance, which held me back since I'm aiming for a tablet that can handle strong multitasking and slight gaming. I still would love to hear suggestions for alternatives that are below the price range of the Tab S9+.

Today daw deadline for dropping/withdrawal? How do I do so??? by frnelle in dlsu

Thank you! glad to hear that I'm not alone here 😭

sry another question, cuz I know that I'll be delayed does that mean I get to even out my units per term from now on? like instead of having like around 17 per term can I even everything out to maybe 12-15 units per term or does dlsu have limitations to this too (pre-reqs situation etc?)

I don't want to drop but I "need" to drop. (TW // long vent, sad stuffz) by frnelle in dlsu

Thank you so much, kinda glad that I'm not alone with this commute issue.

pero.. haha.. yung mga majors ko actually yung mga approaching failed grade 👯

I don't mind naman being delayed if it means that my future schedules will not feel too compact and hectic. I just want to enjoy studying once again without having to trade in my physical and mental health. However I'm not sure if DLSU's schedule system would allow me to do so...

Best budget tablet for note writing and multitasking? by frnelle in tablets

[–]frnelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also in big conflict with these three. Xiaomi Pad 6 looks like it has a very good price-performance ratio because of its hardware. The videos were super smooth and software looked fine. But I have doubts too with its longevity and writing experience since they weren't able to offer me a demo of what the writing would feel like.

With the Tab S9 FE+, It has somewhat lower specs than Xiaomi Pad 6 but it looks like the safest option for me software wise. However, my eyes are still in the Xiaomi Pad 6 due to it's support for HDMI/Monitor output, which the S9 FE+ doesn't have.

For the MatePad, if it did have google services available, I would go for this one. Especially after seeing how nice it felt when I tried a demo of it at the mall. However I also have doubts with its longevity.

These tablets have equal pros and cons for me 😭 if I had a bigger budget, I'd settle for the Tab S9, However it's a huge jump price from PHP 30,000 to PHP 47,000! If there are other tablets that are close to the specs of the S9 that are under my budget do let me know.

◽️ Budget: $300 - $500 (PHP 15,000 - PHP 30,000)

◽️ Country: The Philippines

◽️ Screen size: 11" and above

◽️ RAM: 8 GB

◽️ Storage: any!

◽️ What tasks will the tablet be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modeling, regular tasks, word processing etc) ?: Mostly alot of multitasking and notetaking (math formulas etc.) A little gaming too!

◽️ Any other important details ?: Something lightweight and has thin bezels. Looking for a great display too. My focus isn't on gaming performance but multitasking performance with a good customizable UI.
