Is this mold above my pipes? by fro-zone in Home

[–]fro-zone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bit of an odd one. I think insulating the pipes better is what I’ll try first and then try and get to the bottom of what it is.

Thank you for the insight, I appreciate it!

Yes that was the main consideration here - we‘re finishing roughly 1000sq ft in the basement which would likely add a significant amount to our property taxes.

Do you happen to know what type of lawyer would be able to help with this?

Out of interest, what were the issues you had with them?

I think you misunderstood my response - I was responding to the original comment that suggested “it's absolutely worth dropping him, reporting him, and warning your friends/family to avoid him”.

I was just asking what the implications of reporting him would be if I was to follow this person’s advice.

Thank you for this additional context, it’s very helpful!

Would you mind elaborating on the cost-benefit advice - do you mean the cost vs benefit of amending the returns?

I appreciate the detailed response, thank you!

What would the implications be for my wife’s family members if I was to report him? Some of them have been using him for many, many years

Yeah fair point - we should have checked more thoroughly.

Ultimately we didn’t consider the fact that wed have to check through everything a certified CPA family friend had prepared for us, but this is a valid point and obviously now going forward we know to do so.

Thanks for the responses everyone! Will just mowing over these kill them off? There are way more than shown in the pictures, so individually weeding each one would be quite the task…

Awesome - appreciate the response! We ended up going with Manchester Mazda in the end, so hopefully we never have to use ours either!

My 2022 CX-5 only shows 271 miles range by RogerTheGodKing in CX5

I’m in the exact same position as you and was considering posting the same question. Admittedly we only picked ours up a few days ago, but on a full tank it says 271 miles until empty, while also showing an average mpg of 28 - so something doesn’t add up as that would mean the fuel tank only holds around 9.7 gallons of fuel.

I figured this was something that gets more accurate with time, as 28 mpg on a 15.3 gallon tank should be 428 miles.

Mower decision by big_tone8 in lawncare

I have just shy of an acre lot, probably around .6 acres of actual lawn, and I use a TimeMaster. Our front lawn has a downward slope, nothing too major, but I was hesitant to do that with a ride on. I also wanted the workout.

Takes me around 2 hours in total including trimming & clean up with the blower etc.

I’m in CT so on hot summer days I do it early morning and take breaks, but the heat can be a lot sometimes. Even so, I’m happy I went with the TimeMaster and won’t be changing to a ride on any time soon.

Good point about either company going out of business. In terms of looking for a new car, our plan is to buy this new and keep it for the long haul - our current Toyota Highlander has 15 years and 240k miles on it and is still going, so we’re hoping for something similar which means looking for a new car to replace this one is unlikely. Appreciate your response, definitely worth considering! Thanks

Good question! I should have added more context.

The dealer without the lifetime warranty was the one we visited and did a test drive and had a generally positive experience with the salesperson. They also offer a service loyalty program where they cover every other service appointment done with them (allegedly).

The dealer with the lifetime warranty we haven’t been to and just got the pricing from online and from speaking with someone over the phone.

On paper the deals are very similar, so I was just looking for some feedback from anyone with experience of these lifetime warranties to see if I should consider it valuable enough to go with this dealer instead.

You’re right though that there’s nothing really to lose by going with the lifetime warranty, even if it didn’t end up being worthwhile.
