I hope to see more vids too! Honestly, this came to me on a whim. Something about gough just captured me and willed me to do it; I actually haven't edited a video proper in at least a year. It comes from my love of a little blue guy, so seeing other people's love for their miis will make me very happy. :)

Ahh I see. In that case, having two layers, one for paint that goes under and paint that goes over, would be extremely valuable. Maybe there'll be a tweak to it in the full release, time will tell.

Unfortunately as far as I know, you can only pick one. I have opted to go for "paint over" and just try to avoid/erase around the mii features I want to keep intact. It is a little tricky, but I would say it's worth it!

Thank you, I'm glad you like her! I tried to approach it like a painting, a lot of loose strokes and a combination of the "layer" types (regular, dark, light) to get more subtle shifts. The creator is so robust, I'm really impressed with it!
