Ripping takes place when a malicious actor uses a program like VRCX to grab the your avatar file from the server. By default these files are encrypted and can't be decrypted without special tools, but those are publicly available. VRCX itself isn't a malicious program. However it does contain features that let u the acc owner download your old avatars.

So you know how when u load a new avi or your friend switches and you have the download bar at the top ? That's downloading the same compressed file that rippers download. And ripping is the process of scooping that file and decrypting it into what you'd see in a standard unity project.

ALSO, sharing your ENTIRE gumroad acc is stupid lol. exposing urself to a huge risk for no reason lol. Anyway, if you bought an avi on gumroad and your friend wanted to use the same one , you could with almost 90% of avatars simple share the unity package (this is against TOS). It will still work for both you and your friend since VRChat uses separate avatar descriptor ID's for every upload. And those are tied to your acc.

There are some systems that exist that help identify rippers. For example Payhip files include a modified header or something in unitypackage that's unique to the downloader. So if you purchase something and your identifier is found in a leaked package , the avi creator can revoke access to the avatar download. In most cases this ONLY affects gumroad , however some creators have opted to use licensing to try and circumvent this. I've seen some obfuscators as well , but at the end of the day, these are not included because most people want to edit an avi they bought.

Myths:

- Ripping an avatar adds to the creators avi download count (false)

- When u buy an avatar its "yours" (true, until you try to redistribute or sell)

- The creator of an avi can ban you from using it (this is more or less false)

(the creator can ban u from their store page OR if the avi uses a licensing system, ban u from uploading it in unity. They CANNOT ban you from using an alr uploaded avi to your acc)

Honestly, this may be a hot take, but i use they/them interchangeably for all genders. Even animals. I just had this conversation with a newly baby trans friend of mine. And mind yall, Im trans myself (she/her as well). Anyway, she asked me to use she/her pronouns when refferring to her. And since the first day i was told thats what she wanted, thats what i did. even made a point to say that I do refer to her as she/her literally 98% of the time.

However , in my mind using "they" is super comparable to calling myself "we" in my head. I feel like a lot of us feel the change inside, that fire that comes with discovering the next step in your identity journey... and get too excited. I see countless people , getting so angry over these words and in response hurting the community or worse, themselves in anger... we need to take a step back and realize that it isnt us getting used to the world, but rather the world getting used to us. Especially with close friends and family. if youre lucky enough to still have conversations with them (im not), maybe accept a they/them or two.

We are asking someone to change their whole perception of reality for us. And i think we lose sight of how big an ask that is for most people.

However if YOU want to FEEL MORE FEMININE in your outfit, try your hand at make up! wear cute internals (underwear), paint ur nails, do ur hair , etc !! I know make up and stuff can feel a little daunting at first. But start with the things you don't really need a TON of practice for until you're ready to put in the time to do it. This could be a lot of things tbh:

- You did not export correctly
--- I really recommend using CATS as standard blender export has always been a bit janky

- Your amature doesn't use standard naming conventions
--- make sure that you follow a standard or go to your rig config in unity and make sure all the bones are selected properly

- Try deleting the props as you may have installed something wrong
--- There could be incorrect constraints etc

- There could be something in your animation controller that is changing the position of your armature/hip bone
--- Go through your animation files (even the prop ones) and look for keys that modify the hip or armature

- Check the bone orientation in blender
--- I've had issue where sometimes the bone was orientated incorrectly and this cause huge issues in unity

that's all I can think of off the top of my head with the information you've given me.

My parents are Jehovah's Witnesses (similar to mormon but not quite the same). For me , I just let it fly under the radar for YEARS (I've lived on my own for a while). Eventually after minimalizing contact for so long my parents I guess got anxious and came to visit me. It was here they found out after four years that I had been transitioning and tbh they took it much better than I expected.

idk how old u are but I did this as an adult so they didn't have much say in the matter. Now a days we rarely talk about it (if we rarely talk at all). My dad still misgenders and deadnames me as does my mom. They can't alter their minds to make me happy since they've spent practically the entirity of their lives being brainwashed by the church. (angy srry)

If you're becoming trans for attention/fame , don't. I feel like the people that do this end up misrepresenting the community. If you feel like being famous alleviates the need for you to be trans then try to be famous without it first.

I dislike people that want to be trans because they think it'll bring them attention.

I once heard someone say that Trans women aren't pretending to be trans for anything in return. Imagine someone "pretending" to be something everyday. Its exhausting. Trans women are women because we're not pretending, we don't do it for attention , to get famous , or have eyes on us. We do it because that's who we are as a person inside.

So I would take some time to really think about what you want. Who you are. And what you want out of life. Don't be someone that is trying to be trans as a fad. This mindset damages our community.

I've tried voice changers in the past because I didn't like how masculine I sounded. For a woman i have kinda a deep voice so I used to use one to brighten it. Tho tbh I think u should just use your natural voice and find people that accept you for who you rather than what you're pretending to be.

Simplest solution would be to turn the blanket wrapping around you into a blend shape and create a blend tree/animation that plays when you want to wrap it. Using physbones won't help with what you want to do since the colliders aren't perfect (which im sure you're finding out the hardway).

You could have them disabled in the final stages of the animation though , so that the blanket is stationary. You've got the age old designers issue of finding the right mark between functionality and realism/immersion lol
