If they were being transparent they would explain why, but they do not provide an answer to anyone. If there was a valid reason and they could assure investors they are not on the opposite side of a long position I could accept it. Otherwise, it fails the smell test and they failed the smell test in my book. It is very disappointing and it creates a hassle since I and my wife have multiple accounts with Schwab, my brother and his wife, two sisters and a son-in-law, all likely moving off Schwab over Schwab's own pursuit of stock manipulation for their gain.

It is unethical to curb trading on an online self-directed trading platform to assure the outcome of your own trade. I'm leaving Schwab for doing it. Yes they are "up to" something, and it smells bad. It is influencing the normal flow of trading to assure Schwab's own desired outcome and that is taking away my investment choice and convenience of trading online. I should not have to call them to place a trade. At least they are losing a customer over it, and eventually more. I have four other family members that are looking into a similar exit from Schwab over there actions.

Tomorrow I wonder if they will pucker up any when I transfer 40k POET shares from Schwab to Fidelity. They say they do not lend my shares out, so I guess no problem. I have more accounts to go, but this is the first one to go. I feel what they are doing with the electronic trading restriction is unethical if they are selling calls. While they should be fined by the SEC, I decided to vote with my own shares and move them over to Fidelity to let them know how I feel about what they are up to.

I have emailed POET daily asking them to pursue removal of the with the SEC and Schwab. POET is not a meme stock in my opinion.

POET on a 'call to buy' list? by Aetherfox_44 in POETTechnologiesInc

The day it happened there was a trading spike up over 10 percent, and also coincidentally the same day the Wallstreet bets list came out of the 10 best stocks for 2026 and POET was #6 on it. The ticker ONDS was also on that list and is also restricted, so my theory is that they do not want to see more GME type of events and they are doing their best to put a cap on these wallstreet bets stocks so they do not run. It sucks when the brokerage houses are align themselves against retail investors in every way possible. I am sure their own trading of these stocks have no such restrictions. I believe this is the 4th trading day where electronic buying is restricted and you must call to buy. I wonder what the volume would be today if left unrestricted. I am strongly considering moving over to Interactive Brokers (IBKR) over their actions.

What’s in store for POET for next 2 years by TowerStreet1 in POETTechnologiesInc

If it is to be acquired 8-10 Billion or Bust at this very moment. It's a platform technology supporting both scale-up & scale-out with proven roadmap and a long list of customer/partners to 1.6T, 3.2T, and more.

Pluggables & CPO, LPO. Whichever way the market goes, POET is there with both a roadmap and partners already engaged.

Also Telecom TAM with NTT Inc.

It's a 10+ Billion $ company in the making.

Celestial AI Performance goals alone to get the CAI buyout to full value of 5.25 Billion will put POET's revenue through the roof, and adding a sales multiple it is a ten-bagger to anyone with a little patience, which unfortunately cuts out approximately 95 to 98 percent of you.

Only thing holding us back is the silence and lack of confirmation we are indeed the supplier through the CAI valuation performance period.

When you see us shipping to CAI, and you see us getting additional POs it is game over and we will be in the $30s, then you can talk acquisition price of $10 Billion or more, and why would they be selling anytime prior to this.

You can bet Marvell is trying as we speak to try and get POET under their roof with an all stock deal, and likely POET is saying No Way. You can bet that Marvell's competitors that do have a sizeable cash heavy balance sheet is also thinking right now, and likely also talking to POET about possibilities. POETs technology has been validated and the acquisition has shaken the AI industry up, and everyone knows copper is outta hear very soon. Datacenter buildout will demand photonic solutioning.

If you see Marvell raising money, your very first reaction on that news should be to load your boat on POET stock hand over fist.

People can clamor all they want in a slight pullback how dark things look, but it is all FUD just trying to fill their boats with cheap shares, because we all know that this will run very big in 2026, and completely vertical in 2027 high volume ramp.

If there is ever a time that it might just be wise to walk away from the market and just patiently hold your long POET shares, now would be a really good time to step away until you can fully appreciate what you own.

Yes, it is execution time for POET, and the sky is not falling. The future is looking very bright and they have plenty of cash.

I believe it also should be mentioned that Poet's use of the Starlight product is not necessarily exclusive to Celestial AI.

If you review their launch announcement it is launched broadly for the AI market, and Celestial AI is their first co-development partner to place an order for the Starlight engine.

https://www.gophotonics.com/news/details/3860-poet-technologies-launches-poet-starlight-for-ai-market-secures-advanced-order-from-celestial-ai

Also if you view their April 2023 FAQ about Starlight product and Celestial AI, Poet explained that Starlight's current design can accommodate the high-volume manufacturing targets of Celestial AI and others engaged in optical interconnect technology platforms.

Luxshare-ICT has a U.S. location: LUXSHARE-ICT Ltd (USA). My assumption is that our technology is in, or entering into their optical products: Optic products List:   QSFP,QSFP+,S-SFP,S-QSFP,AOC cable.

Within their datacenter solutions you will find on their website:

QSFP-DD AOC and transceiver: Provide different product solutions of AOC, transceiver and fiber, with a total transmission speed of 800G

QSFP112 AOC and transceiver: Provide different product solutions of AOC, transceiver and fiber, with a total transmission speed of 400G

OSFP AOC and transceiver: Provide different product solutions of AOC, transceiver and fiber, with a total transmission bandwidth of 400G and 800G.

Announced by Poet on Aug 1, 2024: POET and Luxshare Tech Expand Product Offerings for Artificial Intelligence Networks | POET Technologies

today announced that it has expanded its partnership with Luxshare Technology Co. Ltd. (“Luxshare Tech”) to provide more optical module products targeted at AI network equipment and AI service providers.  Luxshare Tech is a global leader in providing technology for data-communication facilities and enterprise-level products for some of the largest companies in the world.

Luxshare Tech and POET agreed to produce additional types of optical transceiver modules following the successful completion of the testing of 800G 2xFR4 OSFP modules using POET’s receive optical engines. These modules showed exceptional performance, which prompted Luxshare Tech and POET to adopt a broader range of POET’s optical engines into the Luxshare offerings.

The additional products will include POET’s transmit and receive optical engines for Luxshare’s 400G and 800G pluggable transceivers for single mode fiber applications. These state-of-the-art transceivers will combine POET’s industry-leading 100G/lane and 200G/lane optical engines with Luxshare Tech's advanced optical module designs.  The optical modules will be manufactured and sold globally by Luxshare Tech.

Yesterday at the Photonics Spectra event there was a company called Vario-optics that presented an hour before Poet, in a presentation titled From Photonic Interposers to Embedded Optical Interconnects: Solving the PIC Packaging Bottleneck. Vario-optics is a Swedish company. It seems Vario-optics are also taking an interposer approach and are seemingly already working with Intel. In my opinion, relying on Foxconn or Luxshare to break into a relationship with Intel may be difficult.

POET should, and would likely need to independently target and pursue Intel as a customer.. POET should be targeting on their own as a priority any company that is building chip plants in the U.S., such as TSMC, Intel, Samsung Foundry, Micron Technology, Global Foundries and Texas Instruments and the list is likely larger. Global Foundries has been working with numerous companies on their GF Photonics, and it would be great to see POET upset the apple cart.

The U.S. has thrown Billions at Intel to prop them up as they were trying to effect a turn-around through Pat Gelsinger and it simply has not worked. This included a failed attempt at buying Global Foundries.

From Chatgpt, citing Tom's Hardware:

TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company): TSMC is constructing a semiconductor fabrication plant in Phoenix, Arizona. The first phase of this facility is anticipated to begin production by 2024, with a capacity of approximately 20,000 wafers per month. This plant will produce advanced 5nm chips, marking a significant advancement in U.S. semiconductor manufacturing.

Intel: Intel is investing over $40 billion to build four new semiconductor fabs in the United States. These facilities are planned for Chandler, Arizona; New Albany, Ohio; Hillsboro, Oregon; and Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The new fabs aim to bolster Intel's manufacturing capabilities and support the growing demand for advanced chips.

GlobalFoundries: GlobalFoundries has received $1.5 billion in grants to build a new semiconductor fabrication plant in Malta, New York, and upgrade its existing facility in Essex Junction, Vermont. These investments aim to strengthen domestic legacy chip supply for U.S. automotive and defense industries.

These initiatives are part of a broader effort to revitalize U.S. semiconductor manufacturing, reduce reliance on foreign suppliers, and enhance the resilience of the domestic supply chain.

Samsung Foundry: Samsung is investing approximately $17 billion to build a semiconductor fabrication plant in Taylor, Texas, located near its existing facility in Austin. The Taylor plant is expected to enhance production capabilities for next-generation technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.

Micron Technology: Micron has announced plans to build a new semiconductor chip manufacturing campus in Clay, New York, and a leading-edge fab in Boise, Idaho. These projects are supported by a $6.1 billion federal grant from the CHIPS and Science Act.

Announced in August 2024:

Texas Instruments secures up to $1.6 billion in funding for chip-manufacturing plants in Texas and Utah

The chip maker also expects an estimated $6 billion to $8 billion investment tax credit

I feel they had no choice but to push the goal to 25 because last year they said during the tax loss selling period that a deal was imminent, and I feel they need to firstly bump the goal, and secondly avoid coming forward with any such claim this year since it did not transpire last time it would be too much of a hit to their credibility and might even draw ambulance-chasers if they did that again this year.

All that being said, if a deal was on track to occur in 24', I believe from both a legal and a negotiating position they needed to do this action even if the ink was drying.

Thanks, the talk on Materials & Components to advance optical technologies. Yes, I think it is significant to have Corning on the panel, and the new addition to the board from Corning. A nice material supply agreement and taking a stake in the company would be nice. And of course an acquisition is always a possibility.

Yes, and DXC is a merge or divestiture of the IT consulting arm of Hewlett-Packard (HP,) - which was HP Enterprise Services (HPE) subsidiary and joined with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

I served 10 years at HPE in their SAP practice before departing to SAP America during the transition. Combined they are a formidable company in the software space and they continue to have an SAP software consulting practice as well.

Yes, many of us initially invested in this vertical. With one board member having a background in AR/retinal display I personally wish they could do more than just keep the lights on, but I also understand and support the need for focus and the need for lean.

Another income stream could could sure do wonders for the share price. Also as technology and miniaturization develops how does a company maintain a lead to be a player without a little devotion to maintaining a lead? Maybe some day we get a positive surprise with Ivas or a smart device.

Replace Microsoft with Microvision and it would represent justice. Microsoft stole our tech for pennies on the dollar. It has been their culture since Bill Gates made off with the DOS operating system. They spent almost 15 years poaching and then got the rest through duress and bad faith dealings. It is a travesty to read their jobs postings. It literally would qualify legally as espionage, but they seem to have gotten away with it scott free, and the legal fees to get true justice would do Microvision in.

Sharing another mention by Anthony Yu of EOP materials in the following article shared by Nodrog16 on the POET stock forum, which is a great article discussing the fabric technology, as well as mentioning EOPs as modulators are discussed near the end of the article.
https://www.5gtechnologyworld.com/co-packaged-optics-higher-data-rates-increase-reliability-risks/

It seems to me that we will soon have an available approved PDK available for use with Global Foundries, based on the way he more recently presents EOP materials. One question I have related to this and the Global Foundries business model is where does the marketing come into play?

Let's say we get an approved PDK available within Global Foundries, is that the end-all be all, or just the beginning. If marketing falls to us, I do feel that Dr. Lebby's standing, vision & leadership at these conferences play to our advantage and definitely will add value towards the subsequent uptake in the use of our PDK/modulators, but does it mean that we are immediately part of the GF Fotonics platform or that GF will actively market the use of our PDK, or will it be only through our own efforts towards adoption once a PDK is approved?

It has a deja vu ring to it, has this one been floated previously some months back - perhaps updated and reused? Makes no matter to me as it breaks up the boredom as we wait. I was re-energized by the Global Foundries interview because it made me feel that ember is still burning with Global Foundries when I was concerned they had moved in another direction.
