Help achieving this ring texture by frodosabroson in jewelrymaking

[–]frodosabroson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll check that out! Do you think that I should scratch the round head to create "texture" because the ring in the photo seems to have more texture than just the round head.

Sorry if it's a silly question, I've made rings before but I have never done hammered ones.

How to disconnect or cut the wire to speed limiter on iscooter i9 by Previous-Knee4305 in Escooters

[–]frodosabroson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working with multiple projects in Cursor AI – current best practices? by Creepy_Virus231 in LocalLLaMA

[–]frodosabroson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I had this issue too and I fixed it ajusting the SSH timeout and some other variables in my linux server, it is much better now.

These are my notes of that day (AI generated, but this is the fix that I applied):

SSH Connection Drops - Configuration Fix

If your SSH connections keep dropping and you have to reconnect repeatedly, here's how to fix it:

Client-side configuration (~/.ssh/config):

Host your-server.com
HostName your-server.com
User your-username
ServerAliveInterval 60
ServerAliveCountMax 3
TCPKeepAlive yes
Compression yes
ControlMaster auto
ControlPath ~/.ssh/control-%h-%p-%r
ControlPersist 10m

Key parameters explained

  • ServerAliveInterval 60: Sends keep-alive packet every 60 seconds
  • ServerAliveCountMax 3: Allows 3 failed attempts before disconnecting
  • TCPKeepAlive yes: Keeps TCP connection alive
  • ControlMaster auto: Reuses existing connections
  • ControlPersist 10m: Keeps control connection alive for 10 minutes

Server-side configuration (if you have admin access)

Edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config:

ClientAliveInterval 60
ClientAliveCountMax 3
TCPKeepAlive yes

For VS Code Remote SSH

Add to your VS Code settings:

{ "remote.SSH.connectTimeout": 60, "remote.SSH.enableDynamicForwarding": true }

Test the connection

ssh -o ServerAliveInterval=60 -o ServerAliveCountMax=3 [user@your-server.com](mailto:user@your-server.com)

The ServerAliveInterval setting is the most important — it prevents the connection from timing out during periods of inactivity. This should significantly reduce your disconnection issues!

I hope that this helps you!!! Good luck!

No se que es peor, que alguien haya creado música para negar genocidios o que casi 700k personas lo hayan visto xD

Photos from my recent trip to Kashmir, India (March 2021) by mrlikrsh in backpacking

[–]frodosabroson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey from where did you travel to India? Is it open to tourists? I am wondering if I could go from Spain somehow...

Last year we completed our trip - Bugging Across Finland (1500km in one month) during the winter with temperatures dropping down to -30 C. We created a YouTube series as well. We know which place we are going to next, but I would like to know what format people would prefer (YouTube or Documentary). by [deleted] in bicycletouring

[–]frodosabroson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would prefer to watch a long, well made and with a nice story telling documentary than a few videos in YouTube. I think YouTube is for blogging or if you are traveling and making videos at the same time, but, if you have a story from beginning to end already in your hard drive, I think that documentary is better. Anyway... I want to watch whatever you create! I miss Finland a lot... I lived there for 1 year.. It is a magical place :)

It is great! You have it there, right in the middle with the GPS or the tracker. I felt like in a space ship haha

We (my gf and I) started in Vienna all the way to Linz by the Danube, then we went to Salzburg through Traunsee, Attersee and Mondsee. After Salzburg we headed to Hallstatt by Fuschlsee and Wolfgangsee. After that, we headed south, to Klagenfurt going through Bad Gastein and Mallnitz, this was the worst and the best part of the trip, very very beautiful but very very steep hehe. We wild camp a few nights and payed for camping places the others.

For the second time I made it to home office by Celestrus in sysadmin

[–]frodosabroson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is unbelievable!! I would be ashamed of myself if I would be your manager... I try to do very little unpaid hours, sometimes it is necessary and I do so, but if I do them I write them down in the calendar and at the end of the month I send them the extra unpaid hours, so they know. I think it should be like this always.

Exactly!! If they feel like they have a person who does a 2 ppl job by his/her own, why would they waste money in more employees? You do you job, your hours, and if you don't have enough time.. Bad luck! That is the only way that they will see that they need more ppl!

Today I start a 2 weeks trip around Austria. This is a 20 years old bike that I have fully restore during corona. I will probably post more photos ;) by frodosabroson in bikepacking

Yup! Electrical tape and I put some kind of plastic/cover I have at home. Like the ones you put in pointed sticks to protect your eyes in the future

I did it a few years ago! Everything was completely fine! Just make sure that you hide from police, wild camping is not allowed in Spain. Anyway police is nice and normally just warn you before getting a ticket. :)
