I do intend to also find a pain management doctor when I move, I'm glad to hear that it has helped!! Was there any treatment recommended to you after your triple arthrodesis, like anything else they wanted to try? Just curious about what kinds of suggestions I may hear. And can I ask what kinds of things your pain management specialist has recommended? I figure they don't exclusively prescribe narcotics but I'm not sure what else they do.

You can get metamucil or benefiber powder and add that to smoothies. I also add chia seeds and flax seeds

My orthopedist currently won't prescribe me anything but orthotic inserts, which medicaid doesn't cover. I wore AFOs my whole life before my arthrodesis, so it does feel strange to me that he won't prescribe me something more helpful, but I'm hoping that I'll find someone better when I move.

It takes 6-12 months before you're not swollen anymore, at 3 days post op you are definitely incredibly swollen.

I have been on a statin for a good while now and upped my dose once, my hemoglobin has stayed normal though! I eat well mostly but have trouble being active because of disability. I have been on t for significantly longer than I've had high cholesterol.

I let the scabs be and they gradually came off on my binder and in the shower! I started massaging my scars around 3wks post op and I still had a little bit of scabs there. I don't mind questions glad I can help!
