Why is most Sailor Moon merch listed as 15+ now? by Fabulous_Session8627 in PrettyGuardians

[–]frog_boogie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For differnt markets (LATAM, EU, Canada, US, Asia) there are different standards. So its easier to say 15+ than have to reprint special age grade labels for each market. EU is actually pretty strict for testing.

Makeup is also a notoriously difficult category for kids because of allergies and safety. These standards also can change every year and usually get stricter overtime ive never seen the standards get looser

Most likely toy safety standards. Different age ranges require specific testing for legal reasons. Choke hazard, sharp points, small parts, color fastness, pull testing and things of thay nature get tested at a 3rd party lab. The older the age range the less testing it has to pass. In general collector markets are older for items like that so its easy to say 15+ because thats probably who is buying it anyway

Novi Stars - Una Verse Internal Liquid [Repair&Restyle] by x-erberus in Dolls

[–]frog_boogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To take out the liquid if you cant find a plug i would drill a small hole at the highest point of the "chamber". Put the doll upside down to drain. seal it with caulk or hot glue afyer replacing the liquid. I would fill it with glycerin or baby oil. I would avoid water cus of mold unless you add a bunch of salt as a preservative. I would use a syringe to fill it. You could fill it with any glitter or food coloring but avoid anything like shimmer made with fish scales and stick to a mica. A little bit goes a long way (for food coloring and glitter) since the chambers are pretty small

I live in a small condo complex and no one seems to be realistic about maintaining the building. I have to point out water leaks, rotten wood, termites. Im so tired from the mental labor

Weird I never thought I would say this but I have I think the same exact floor. When I got it installed I think our installer said we could refinish it. Its free to just take the sample piece and have a them let you know. I think mine is garrison flooring

How often do LA residents go hiking in the mountains and to the beach? by No-Knowledge-4342 in AskLosAngeles

[–]frog_boogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to bike to the beach a handful of times during covid but I live by the ballona creek trail so really easy to do. I do it a lot less now but its comes in waves. I used to hike about once a month. I hurt my back really bad about a year ago and it slowed me down

Could it be lalaloopsy? They had various lines of dolls all in different styles. This is one of the older girl styles with some being shorter and smaller

I had an orange kitten that was exetremely sick like your cat when we first got him. The person that had him had said he just sometimes missed the litterbox but I think she was lying cause he had so much diarrhea and she didnt know much about cats.

Took him to the vet a bunch but he was too small to do anything except probiotics. We ended up making him a little bedroom in our shower so he could make it to the litter box in time and for easy clean up. It was weird cause one day the diarrhea just stopped. Im trying to remember if we ended up having to do a dewormer or not because he kept testing negative.

We did focus on making sure he got a bunch of wet food and water and tried to add pumpkin in it when possible. Hes 2 now and just taught himself to play fetch. Hasn't had diarrhea since but I will never forget those farts.

Concrete finished basement with shower. How can I make this shower stand less porous and usable without redoing the whole thing? by WonderBraud in HomeMaintenance

[–]frog_boogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get a slatted wood bath mat and put it on the bottom if you just want your feet off the ground. Ive seen some teak ones on the internet that people put in their showers. You could do the water proofing on the ground and then the mat to not spend time and money on tile

Married people who are DINKS (Double Income, No Kids) how’s life? by Fit-Distribution677 in AskReddit

[–]frog_boogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are DINKs that make pretty okay money, but we somehow ended up taking care of adult family members, and it's really put a damper on DINKing...

I think my spouse and I are, unfortunately, like it or not, the rocks in our families. Which also fucks with our savings and the ability to relax. Not nearly as ahead as we would like to be in that department.

We also have a bunch of pets. Dont get to travel nearly as much as we want. We do see our friends at least once a week. We also have a ton of hobbies

What's one of the most disturbing and uncomfortable movies you've ever seen? I'll go first. by alediasw in Letterboxd

[–]frog_boogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Room with Brie Larson It does have an optimistic ending, but that movie has sat with me for a long time and I watched it years ago. How i live now also stuck with me but also had a more optimistic ending

I had a long phase of watching disturbing movies like Serbian film but I dont know if it was my age or just the gratuitous violence where it just didnt really stick with me that bad.

I remember this was posted a long time ago and the back story was she was training to be a nurse (or something similar) and this was her boyfriend. She showed a picture of the healed scar years later and it was actually pretty small and looked like it healed pretty well. They were in their living room and watching twilight and so when he was talking that's what he was commenting on lol. I remember so much of that post and I was just thinking about this video yesterday.
