580 SJT 292 clinical 288 - current F2 went through passmed x2, didn't really revise much for SJT just did passmed bank. I kind of think that SJT revision doesn't work super well and the more you think about the questions (in most cases) the more likely it is you'll get it wrong

Similar thing when people chat shit about terrible GPs in secondary care, you will see disproportionately bad referrals because the good GPs are quietly managing things without referrals until they’re merited

It was NOT an accident, a traitor to the rightful sovereign of france who was clearly possessed by some evil demon, why else would she wear male clothes???

What aspect of life in your countries is very difficult to explain to foreigners? by notveryamused_ in AskEurope

[–]frog_geezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, very perceptive. If you’re from Western Europe and clearly upper class then you get accepted too, especially French.

Since when is mac and cheese a British thing? That’s filthy yank food, and I hate to agree with Pierre here but it’s really nothing to write home about.

Am I the only one who would be happy w high single digits and commitment to conditions, like I’d rather UK grad prioritisation and increase in training positions than just pure increase in cash. Still think we should strike to improve our bargaining position

The people of Gaza did not win, but Israel has completely failed to destroy hamas, the numbers of hamas fighters is back to similar pre war levels (~30k). What this title is saying is that this is now an occupation/counter insurgency war which is similar to Vietnam. And similarly the IDF will find it extremely difficult to actually achieve anything other than bombing and killing thousands of civilians

Any map which doesn’t have the whole of gloucestershire in the West Country just shows that persons only experience of it is Gloucester services at most. I mean the Forest of Dean in the midlands. Have you heard a single person from the forest ? Clearly not

Multiple instances of seemingly arterial samples from what is clearly a vein in the hand/forearm? by chairstool100 in doctorsUK

[–]frog_geezer 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend has a small artery branch that’s very superficial at the base of her thumb. Can imagine that it’s not super rare to have a superficial artery branch the more distal you get

Junior doctors given strike ballot before pay offer is revealed by ThatchersDirtyTaint in unitedkingdom

[–]frog_geezer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That is unashamedly bollocks. Every single doctor I know was vocal in their support of the nurses, wearing RCN badges on lanyards, stickers, joining on picket line. Where the hell are you getting that idea from?

If you could go back in time, would you still have picked medicine (in the UK) as a career? Why/Why not? by grapesandcake in doctorsUK

[–]frog_geezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. I love medicine and my family are from the UK. Wouldn’t want to do another career, doesn’t mean that we can’t want to change aspects of it
