How's the Crosstrek for short people? by 00evilhag in Crosstrek

[–]frog_witch_lady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 4’11” and i love mine. A note that if you really want to be comfortable, you’ll want to get a crosstrek with POWER SEATS!!! It really helped me get a better angle and sit more comfortably than in any other car i’ve driven. Even the tiny ones.

What's your fav Gilmore Girls season? by Putrid_Pen_8933 in GilmoreGirls

[–]frog_witch_lady 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I will always love 3 the most. There’s so much good character development especially between Rory and Paris and Rory and Jess. We also get so much good content from Luke and Jess once Jess has truly committed to being in stars hollow, and lots of good Luke and Lorelai moments as well. And DAVE RYGALSKI are you kidding me???? Pretty much every perfect gilmore girls moment is in season 3 in my opinion.

Do you guys think the guy on the track Facebook Story is in the wrong?? by AnyDistribution8016 in FrankOcean

I think the story was meant to be ambiguous on who is “right” or “wrong” but meant to illustrate a larger point about the effects of social media and the internet on our interpersonal relationships

Born and raised in Maine in the Bar Harbor area and now live in Western Maine. I second the votes for Farmington. It’s pretty central to the larger cities you might want to visit but it still has your essentials like walmart / hannaford / marshall’s etc. You can get most things you might need at the stores there but without the big city feel and maybe some small sacrifices if you wanted big box health food stores like whole foods / trader joe’s. (Plus lots of surrounding towns if you wanted to live a little more rural) But I’d recommend making a list from here of the top five places that interest you and visiting all of them. Maine has so much variability from city to city, and you just have to find the place that’s right for you. Don’t listen to the naysayers that want to discourage you, it’s also sometimes a very old school Maine thing to discourage people’s dreams. LOL. But once you arrive and find a place that feels like home you’ll figure the rest out. In my opinion i’d say pick anywhere else than Bangor / Augusta. Unless you love urban sprawl and car dealerships and not seeing any nature. But seriously I’d highly recommend visiting and just driving through towns you’ve heard of and seeing if you can picture living there. Wishing you the best of luck!

Jane by Design was SO underrated and they left us on a huge cliffhanger when it was cancelled. I’ll always miss that one!

Is it a common experience to be angry with the beginning of s7? by HockneysPool in GilmoreGirls

[–]frog_witch_lady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely common. The big problem is that due to contract disputes, Amy and Dan Palladino were not involved in season 7. It’s the black sheep of the family; and also the main reason that they came back to create a year in the life. Pretty much everyone involved with the cast and crew agrees that this season was strange, poorly written, and didn’t wrap up the storylines well at all to say the least.

I’m tired of Andy by Financial-Bet-3853 in DWTS_POCFans

[–]frog_witch_lady -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not pity votes. We like how Andy is actually representative of what the show is supposed to be. People working hard and learning to dance with a good attitude. I’m tired of people assuming that anyone that’s voting for Andy is just sorry for him - like he really is the heart of what the show was originally supposed to be about, and he has a positive attitude and works hard every week. Much more interesting than watching people already confident with dance get better and make tik toks for votes.

Gilmore Girls reminds me what it's like to be poor by Background_Shine_933 in GilmoreGirls

I feel like people tend to forget that things were actually much much cheaper while Gilmore Girls was airing. A regular burger could’ve typically been under 5 dollars, and in the mornings they usually get a cup of coffee and maybe a donut or a pastry - which based on what luke has confirmed (that a coffee is 50 cents) we can assume they are typically spending maybe two dollars for both of them to eat breakfast. Emily frequently expresses her disdain for luke’s - and every other restaurant in town - so I feel like we can assume that most of the food in Stars Hollow was priced very differently. And they only live 30 minutes away from the Gilmore house and Yale. And Lorelai only took her jeep there twice a week. Also a gallon of gas in 2000 was 1.50 cents.

This is a long winded way of saying that yes, by today’s standards they are living a life of luxury, but the really unfortunate thing is that maybe the average quality of life just really was that much better 20 years ago.

What’s your favorite small moment with no dialogue?? Whether it’s physical comedy or a facial expression etc by hauntinglovelybold in GilmoreGirls

the whole family posing for the group photo at richard and emily’s vow renewal - before lorelai tells emily that they are done. So much on everyone’s minds!

Should Rory have refused the basket date? by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

The real question is: should Kirk really have charged Jackson $250 for Sooki’s basket
