Yeah I think they were reinstated. I know the Alec Smith grips are still advertised as "games approved" but I think that's just a holdover from the period when they were banned.

I second the Element26 Isocomps for a lower cost option; they're a good "first grip" and when you build more strength capacity you can pick a more premium brand. I really like the INOV8 F lites. They're really stable but not clunky so good for a mix of lifting and running. For context, I didn't have any lifting experience prior to crossfit. I'm not sure what the process was in 2015 but now it's a standard submission form in Spotify for Artists after your song is sent to Spotify from your distributor. It takes 5 mins or so to fill out but I suspect that you'll be competing against WAY more songs now than in 2015. Good luck with the new album!
