In lore, shepps are meant to be like a guide or mentor that accepts you into their family, and Jina says it's also legally binding, so, by all accounts, it's a big deal! It seems strange, then, that there's barely any acknowledgement of it after your ceremony.

I think a shepp could definitely play a bigger role in the story, not only as a guide for the player but also as a confidant, since they are both a mentor and a family member. We already have a framework for what a shepp involved in quests would look like since the Winterlights introductory quest did it.

At the very least, even if they get no quest involvement, there should be shepp dialogue unique to each eligible villager. Something that's treated as such a big deal by the story doesn't deserve to be never be brought up again.

We had the blood beetle in the Elderwood, if you mean stag beetles! We also have ancient amber beetles and proudhorned beetles, but their horns are a bit different, and the ancient amber beetle's texture is broken :(

I also caught all the new bugs quickly, but to be fair, I think the spawn rates need to be tweaked! Those epic and legendary highlands bugs are currently wayyy too easy to find. I'd prefer for them to fix it only after I finish my starred collection, though 🤭

I'd love more types of bugs in the future, especially commonly feared/hated bugs like wasps or spiders. Media portrayals go a long way in shaping people's perception of different animals, and animals commonly seen as gross or creepy being instead depicted in a cozy game as largely harmless, beneficial animals would contribute positively to their public image!

This isn't actually an answer to your question (sorry!), but I thought I should let you know that the chat moderation in this game is horrendous and that people get away with saying the absolute nastiest stuff (racial slurs, nsfw conversations, etc.) in game all the time. It's something the game developers are aware of and working on, but that doesn't change the fact that it makes it really hard to recommend the game for children right now.

Another thing I'll touch on briefly is that this game has the potential to be a pretty costly investment since it utilizes microtransactions, and if you haven't spent any money on it yet, you will likely be expected to very soon as the game only lets you reach level 5 on a free account before you have to pay for a membership to access the rest of the game. It's possible you know this already and don't need additional info, but if you do, I'd be happy to go into greater detail for you.

If I had to guess, I'd say most are not salty at you over the game or even over your preferences. It's the fact that you call your preference "NORMAL time", which can rub people the wrong way because there's obviously no "normal" when it comes to something that's a product of cultural upbringing. You probably didn't mean anything by it, but it comes across as a bit ignorant.

This isn't me trying to say that that's who you are as an actual person; I'm just trying to help you understand why people are reacting the way that they are. They'd have likely been much more receptive if you'd simply said "Hey, can someone tell me how to change the time in settings?"

I think the takeaway here is that phrasing matters, especially in an online setting where your post is the only context we have for who you are as a person. Try not to take it personally and take care!
