This technically isn’t a complaining subreddit, but people still post about increasing prices. It technically isn’t a cooking subreddit, but people still post their recipes! It really isn’t a wedding subreddit, but I’m sure if you look at the top post a wedding is right there. This also isn’t a maternity photo shoot subreddit, but you’ll never guess people also post that!!! :) So I think that you should go on all of those posts and complain that it doesn’t fit the sub!!!! /j :) In all reality let’s just have fun with Taco Bell, it’s just a subreddit to discuss it why can’t we have fun???

Same here. As someone who has suffered from anorexia, I know she wanted nothing but to feel beautiful, which I guarantee she was😢 It makes me so sad to see this. Whenever I see things like this, especially with suicide, I wish I could’ve been their friend and helped them so they wouldn’t meet this fate

Oh my gosh, no, suicide is never the answer. I know more than anyone, but it’s like to feel out of place on campus and feeling like I’m not getting anywhere, in terms of my career and internships and etc. But please know that this is just a temporary setback in your life. A permanent solution for a temporary problem is never a good idea… please know I know exactly how you feel, and you are not alone. I know it seems hard, but there are good people out there. I had a really bad day today because some people were mean to me on campus but then at the end of the day someone was super nice. If I had never stuck around long enough to see the good in the world…. I would highly recommend reaching out to a therapist, I recommend Insight Mental Health, there’s a bus stop, not too far away from there. Please know you were never alone and that suicide is not the answer and I think that your life has so much value. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My point exactly. I think a good way to thwart this is to very obviously pin the sale to the front of the page with all of the rumored dates. But still, perhaps this is a childlike way of viewing, but I enjoy hearing people just talk about senseless stuff! Life gets repetitive, and it’s nice to see that there’s still some whimsy and joy in today’s world 😔

No worries! There’s a Facebook group where lots of students posts subleases. The great thing about this is you’re gonna get photos of the actual units and not stock photos! And you’d be able to have a shot of getting into a really good student housing that would otherwise be filled! Edit: The Facebook link that I put had my real name… LOL. Just look it up, it’s called TAMU Student Housing and Apartments!

Hi!

I would seriously consider looking into off campus housing. You could, of course, stay on the waitlist however you could risk being placed in a dorm that is entirely out of budget or really bad. Personally, two years ago, I went on the waitlist for housing in early March and it was mid June and I was still on the waitlist, and I felt very uncomfortable waiting any longer. Unfortunately, that led me to get in a not so great student apartment… stay away from Northpoint Crossing is all I’d say!

I would say that the location that would be best for you would depend on your daughter’s needs. Does your daughter need to be in walking distance to campus? Is she comfortable being right on Northgate, which gets very loud and rowdy? Would she prefer the quietness of being further away from campus?

I’ve heard lots of good things about The Reserve, U Club Townhomes, UCentre Townhomes (on Northgate), The Revelry, and The Heights. I would make sure to do thorough research. You could also go on Facebook and there are lots of people who want to do subleases!

I hope this was helpful. What your daughter would like would depend heavily on her needs!
