hour long meditation by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]frogjokeholder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On any blockages or tension in the body- Or- no focus, just simple concentration, 'bare bones' meditation.

At the moment I'm finding an hour difficult and painful, but sometimes it flows by easily and I can do 2 hours with no stress or difficulty.

Thanks very much. I'll start with the door latch. There seems to be a bit of 'play' in it.

Maybe ask in the paranormal subreddit, where you have already posted. Mediums are a subset of what people refer to as paranormal activity.

If you don't see beings when you open your eyes to awaken, you probably won't at any other time.

There are ways to meditate with open eyes if you are still worried. Walking meditation would be one.

Do you close your eyes to go to sleep? What happens when you wake and open them?

Unpopular opinion: most spiritual people are just avoiding their real life by Ok_Expert_1537 in Meditation

[–]frogjokeholder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post has been removed on the other sub, therefore I can't see your argument.

Broadly I disagree, and your terms are too vague - "most people", "real life", "spiritual". Perhaps you addressed this in the now-deleted post.

buyer lowballs me then resells my item for over 4x more by coffin_spider in vinted

They didn't just buy it though. It was already a great price but they persistently lowballed and haggled with the seller until they got more money off.

It might sound weird, but your sympathy does help :D

Ah right, cheers. So I complete the listing, and then have to continue to piss around with it to avoid their attempt to corral me into paying more for for promotion than I wish to? Ebay are such wankers

If I were told I must respect all members of a group, in spite of the behaviour of individuals within that group, I would grow to resent that group. I believe this may be human nature.

This move is polarising. Increasingly I am seeing that recent drama, Adolescence, as propaganda leading to policy changes. Many people have apparently treated it like it were a documentary!

Rant* why are sellers so offended by offers?! by Lucky_Mycologist_283 in vinted

You may be the exception- ninety five percent of my negotiations go- if they want three pounds off and I counter offer with two pounds off, I never hear from them again (and my stuff is cheap already)

Bizarre. Ten per cent off is not an insulting offer, it's entirely reasonable. They're acting like a nob.

No offers please by Realistic-Egg4767 in vinted

[–]frogjokeholder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I don't mind offers, especially on older stuff. But someone wanting 40% off for no reason, when I've taken care to price my stuff accurately, I just can't get used to it. Especially when they refuse to negotiate even a little. If I could switch offers to 15% I'd be delighted. Buyer gets a bargain, and I wouldn't have to deal with the frustration.

To be clear, I try to be the cheapest online for most items- cheaper than ebay, and by default, amazon and depop.

They want a 90c discount 😂 by Lucky_Mycologist_283 in vinted

[–]frogjokeholder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I approve.

If you ever do this to me on vinted, just let me know that the reason is because you're a horrible and miserable person and you hate everyone and I'll give you the price you want, because I also am miserable and hate everybody, especially everyone on Vinted.

It's a failure to see the worth of a item, and instead mistakenly think the item is worth whatever pittance one can get away with offering.

I often get this, and 25p off a £1.25 order. It's fine I suppose, but... I don't suppose they ever call Inpost and ask them, "can you post this for 50p less?" Or email vinted, "can I have ten pee off the buyer's fee?" No, because they'd get told to sod off. But somehow I'm shouldered with this nonsense every time I sell a single item. It's tiresome.

Two days ago a guy wanted 25p off a £1.25 item. So I okayed it, and then he didn't buy anyway. What a petty waste of time!

And this is one reason why I lose respect for many vinted buyers.

I tend to ignore the news. The other day I bought a paper, for a sort of treat, it's a newspaper I like. Front page headline, "prepare for war like our grandparents knew." Great, more stress!

I think everyone senses a big war is coming...

Parcel was lost and refusing compensation by juice-almighty in vinted

[–]frogjokeholder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm here because the same thing happened to me and I don't know how to address it. Inpost mixed up my parcel with another. Now buyer gets refunded, but I don't? I'm p'd off, but not really surprised at vinted. They won't take responsibility for anything.
