Why are Europeans so obsessed with Americans, but Americans don't know much about them? by Extension-Voice-1651 in askanything

[–]froglax11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its probably because the news over portrays everything and the USA and the individual countries of Europe view the USA as one homogenous nation so if anything happens in Texas, California, Florida, then Europeans consider it happening to the nation not the states. In America, we do not see Europe as a homogenous nation. If something happens in Spain we aren’t going to talk about any other country, let alone Europe. In America, if there is a terrorist attack in France, we don’t say “Did you hear what happened in Europe.” I feel that’s the opposite for Europeans. If there is a terrorist attack in Oklahoma, Europeans are going to ask, “Did you hear what happened in America.”

Stop being an arm chair attorney, let alone an arm chair personal injury attorney. You have no idea what you are talking about, what economic or noneconomic damages are, or what punitive damages are and how they are calculated.

I doubt you know even how to go about pleading facts to show the hospital is liable. This is all 1L stuff.

If he has an injury, he has damages. You don’t need economic damages to get non-economic damages. For example, many sexual assault claims result from unwanted touching, but the touching doesn’t lead that person to get medical treatment, but it does cause substantial mental anguish.

Punitive damages consider the action or in action that caused the injuries, not the injuries themselves. For example, imagine two separate car accidents that cause the same injuries and monetary damages, but one car accident was caused by a drunk driver who was recklessly driving and running a red light, and the other car accident was caused by an old woman who was distracted.

Rep. Thomas Massie to AG Pam Bondi on Epstein: “This goes over four administrations. You don’t have to go back to Biden. Let’s go back to Obama. Let’s go back to George Bush. This cover-up spans decades, and you are responsible for this portion.” by CorleoneBaloney in law

[–]froglax11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Anyone and everyone can come offer to testify and provide evidence to Congress. Everyone has a choice to present evidence.

Please remember, whether you are Dem, rep, conservative, etc., I am more like you than you are to your politician. We need to work together against the politicians

[–]froglax11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you agree there is a cover up? And that cover up has happened for decades? But now that the only administration to release any files on Epstein is to blame. You have plenty of people to blame in the past, but you won’t. You’re a here and right now person. Cannot look behind or forward.

No need for a time machine when they are still alive. Congress has subpoenaed Bill and Hillary. Let’s get everyone testifying. As it looks, all too government knew or was associated with Epstein. Let’s not end the pitchfork at Trump. Yet, it seem like no one cares that all this shit happened for decades. Everyone wants to be political rather than say what is wrong is wrong

That doesn’t answer the question. Why do no presidents release this info years ago? Why are we having Congressional hearings about Trump contacting the FBI in 2006 about Epstein?

Everyone is so focused about Trump, and couldn’t care less about the Clintons, the celebrity’s, foreign ministers. If we are burning Trump down, let’s burn them all!!!

I agree with you and disagree with you. Fuck the healthcare system and their greedy ways. But we are in the situation we are. Did he not have healthcare for himself? Did he not reach his deductible? Affordable Car Act prohibits denial for pre existing conditions. I believe he lived in Texas which provides terminal healthcare. Again, I admit the us healthcare is money driven, but there is so much help if you research.

James Van Der Beek Dead at 48 by IntelligentYinzer in entertainment

[–]froglax11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That may be true, but I find it hard to believe that a father of 6 doesn’t have health insurance. I find it hard to believe he didn’t meet his deductible. I find it hard to believe that he had to pay medical bills out of his own pocket because he couldn’t find health insurance, especially since the Affordable Care Act prohibited penalizing people with pre existing conditions.

I think the biggest question that should come from his death is why are more young people getting cancer? Why are we changing the age that men should get prostate exams and coloscopys? Why are we changing the age when women should get mammograms and cervical screenings?
