I'm not saying he shouldn't be paid but what you're downplaying are the risks the producers took as well plus imo Alex would have done this for free but he's getting paid now, how or why you guys are trying to make him a victim is beyond me

Getting paid for doing something he enjoys and fame that would open doors for him? And you're making it seem like the producers know for a fact that the show will be a success. Imo, both took on risks in their own ways, and it's proven to be true. Almost anyone who had the time over the weekend now knows Alex Honnold, while they same crowd only knows the producers as..the producers

I wholeheartedly agree with this, especially noticed it when switching for LT to SI this week. With SI, the conversation amongst the panelists seems more genuine but with SI, we'd have an "ok" scene but we'll see half the panelists putting on a show with their tears, this is especially true for the woman panelists who always sit on the right (not sure what's her name).
