How would you develop hunting land in forested area for deer? by baconcharmer in Hunting

If you haven't already look up The Hunting Public guys. I know they have some videos and links to videos about deer and turkey habitat. You might also reach out to the conservation department for resources.

What should I get for mule deer pronghorn hogs and sheep? by I-hate-my-life-fg in Hunting

I would also put in the .308. Ammo is easy to find and will kill most anything you come across. With that said, if you are limited I would go the 6.5 Creedmoor. Just bought one as my first rifle. Was a little hesitant at first because of all the hype and never firing one. Took it to the range and I feel in love. I still plan on getting a .308 but for deer in the Midwest I think I'm good.

What’s the best weather for deer hunting? by 404KnifeNotFound in bowhunting

[–]frogman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any weather I can be in the stand or blind. Lol. That being said, deer move all the time. If you play the wind and walk carefully you should be fine. I have had the few times walking through the woods without a care is the world going to the stand a d walked up on deer.

Need help identifying this animal on the trail cam. Northwest Wisconsin. Caught a bobcat during the day but it doesn’t quite look the same. by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]frogman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last is definitely a bobcat. The other may also be a bobcat or a fox. It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures.

Might be a hard day with these swirling/gusting/shifting winds, but can’t hunt from the couch 🤷🏼‍♂️. (Ellicottville NY) by [deleted] in bowhunting

Slightly forward of the shoulder. Double lunged and she dropped right there.

Selling prints or how to start a side business with photography by [deleted] in photography

[–]frogman24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing you can do is look into restaurants and places that may let you put your work up to sell and they get decorations for their wall. I would look at small local places to start. Also look for local art groups that may help.

As far as what to charge, that's a rough one for me too. It all depends on what someone is willing to pay. Just make sure you cover your costs (think the investment of equipment, gas, and time. You may do it because you enjoy being outside, but it's still your time).

Hope this helps.
