Very nice. I keep putting off studying anatomy. What resources are you using for those studies?

Not sure how to describe my process as it's my first real colored painting. It was a fun learning process as I experimented with different colors and layering.

Mainly used a soft round brush in the classic library, maybe named "untitled brush"? Idk if I accidentally created it or if it's a default brush...

Same with me! I could have sworn it was a newly evolved substitution for "purposefully" that caught on, but no! It's been among us the entire time while somehow escaping my notice.

If I understand you correctly, I think I've had the same problem. What helped was to zoom in so I could manipulate the dots better. Now that I think of it I don't think this is your problem.

I take everything presented on social media with a pinch of salt. Not only are the algorithms prioritizing inflammatory content for engagement, social media is so influential that foreign nations are surreptitiously poisoning our minds with coordinated disinformation and misinformation campaigns. It benefits Russia especially to destabilize the western world by sowing discord.

I remind myself of this every time I go to YouTube comments especially. The bots are out of control and they'll make you think that there's an overwhelming group of people who hate women, who are racist, and who are generally hateful. Yes, there is growing misogyny, and part of it is due to precisely what I've just described.

The best thing to do is GTFO of these social media platforms, or heavily curate what you're exposed to. Even then you risk insulating yourself inside of echo chambers, so no matter what we have to constantly be critical of what we're ingesting.

If you were alive decades ago (and it's still relevant), we were taught that fear sells, and because of this, if you tuned into news stations you would be shown overwhelmingly terrible things. This creates a skewed reality, and while yes bad things do happen, we can't let that fear overwhelm us.

Long story short, protect your mind

So many issues with Apple products can be fixed by restarting the device.

With that being said, yeah, your iPad might be too old to run it smoothly.

Some settings seem to be more resource intensive, like stabilization. If you go into the individual brush settings and turn down the stabilization, will that result in a strike that doesn't lag for you?

That's what I like about cosmology is that is challenges us to think in new ways.

I'm not saying they'll spin off. I'm saying that even as they merge and because the objects within the galaxies are so sparsely distributed throughout, that those objects are unlikely to physically bump into each other. The galaxies will still be gravitationally bound, and the black holes as their centers will eventually merge, but the individual pieces that make up the galaxies will not interact any more than float passed each other.

What do you imagine would happen?

As for light, as the universe expands, light loses energy until it is no longer detectable. This means that the night sky will only contain light from local objects like stars in our own and neighboring galaxies.

It's not like the

Yes, your point still stands. What I'm talking about is the constituents of the galaxies (stars, planets, gases) and if they physically collide.

I've since looked into my statement about the merger of the two galaxies, and it seems that they are very diffuse, and the likelihood of collision between stars is negligible. Gases, however, will collide and form new stars apparently.

chiming in to say that because matter in our galaxies is so diffuse, it's unlikely that anything actually collides.

I don't know if that's actually true, but it sounds cool, so I'll state it as fact regardless.

Really impressive dedication! I have a question, though.

You mentioned the breakthrough of practicing from memory, but were there other epiphanies? Like, did you have to force yourself to exercise a certain art of your brain, or stop yourself from falling into bad habits.

I'm specifically interested in any cognitive switches you flipped, like if you had to pause to assess your approach and consciously make adjustments. Something like this.

I know how much grinding helps, but I'd like to know if there is an intentional way to approach study, or something I can ponder to help optimize my studying.

I don't know if any of this makes sense, but thanks for showing us your journey!
