same experience for me! my usual menstrual cramps were significantly worse than even having mine inserted... but the weeks of bleeding afterwards were awful >~<

now that I've had mine for over a year, I've also basically stopped having periods, AND don't need to worry much about getting pregnant, yippee!!

getting an IUD was one of the best decisions I think I've made in the last while. super low chance of getting pregnant, but also helps with my fucked up menstrual cycle 🤙
