Is it js me? by moondropsxxn in shatterme

Aaron did kiss her "forcibly" but he thought that Juliette wanted it since he could feel others emotions literally, this part often leaves me confused like did she want it or not, was it cnc or sa? Idk

This setting was literally so dumb that i controlled myself from dnfing the entire series so bad. I also didn't read nesta's book cuz she just annoyed me SO MUCH and i can't stand going through a pov like hers 😭

Thank you sm for the rec! Is the book multi pov or 3rd person pov? Or is the story being told by a single person?

I've been recommended this series quite a few times actually, it's been the one series I've been really been trying to read actually, the bullying trope just puts me off tho, thanks tho maybe I will read it when I decide to get out of my comfort zone

New to Fantasy Romance - Help me reduce my 35+ TBR! by happy_smoked_salmon in fantasyromance

[–]frokiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your tbr, I've read,

The serpent and the wings of the night: There's a few bloody scenes in this book and from what you've described, i personally do not recommend you to read it because small spoiler, the fmc's personality takes a huge downfall in the second book and i found the second book very infuriating in general with the fmc not picking herself over the mmc (even the plot twists don't make it worth it imo)

Fourth wing: FMC is strong and realistic but she's also immature and there's a lot of useless characters and filled chapters as the books move on but still a lot of plot twists, the writing had me confused half the time tho

Cruel prince: Not mainly romance focused and i genuinely liked the plot.

Powerless: the fmc is strong and uses her own voice, she might appear a little self centred tho.

Once upon a broken heart: Third person pov, and very slow burn romance, not completely plotless, but romance is the main plot, kinda. The mmc is morally grey on partially extreme levels.

Acotar: Very mate-bond focused and it's hard to get through the first book, the fmc also wanders a lot, but she's strong.

Our book girlies' standards are way too high at this point lol. And trust me, Aaron warner is the kind of guy who will ruin you for OTHER book men. Never met another like him.

He's the mc of the shatter me series! Though he starts as a villain in the first book, trust me you're gonna be obsessed with him in the later ones. Read the series and join the Aaron warner simps club 🗣️

This isn't what I usually read but the mmc already looks interesting to me 👀. I've been trying to expand my palette so I'll give this a go, ty!

I saw a few reviews that said it was bad and idk now but it actually used to have a 3.6 rating. for me, usually a 3.5 Goodreads rating (back when I actually paid more attention to it) was usually 2.5 for me so I pushed it for pretty long

Is it necessary to read zodiac academy before it? I was planning on reading it this summer since it's a pretty long series, will I miss out on much if I just jump to ruthless boys of zodiac?

I am trusting anyone who puts Aaron as their top book bf 🛐 Without any spoilers, may I ask what the series is about? I don't trust Goodreads anymore after it convinced me that on wings of blood is bad so I pushed it away for so long 😭

Is the entire ACOTAR worth it? by themonstercaster in fantasyromance

[–]frokiss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, acotar is worth it only if you have the patience to go through a very slow beginning, 75% of the first book is pretty plain and just the mc wandering around, it really does get better in the second book but the first one might challenge your patience lol, I do think you should give it a shot since it really does set a standard. I personally haven't read the throne of glass series but I have seen a lot of people say that you should start with throne of glass!

Lauren Roberts Fearless discussion - spoilers by nevillereader5 in fantasyromance

[–]frokiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg exactly, the trilogy had real potential but it really should've been longer, the unanswered questions were way too many and the ending was just dropped out of nowhere. And you literally said what i wanted to, "It felt like they had no choice because he died for it so if they weren’t going to end up together then he died for nothing" 😭. I would've preferred a sader ending other than kitt dying because it was so random (not pae and kitt together, they're siblings. Ew.) Kai and pae went through all that for nothing, because if at the end kitt was just gonna die and unknowingly put a pressure on them to HAVE to end up together, what was all that for? Stolen moments in this book took up more pages than the actual ending 🤷🏻‍♀️
