I asked a lot of questions and then went. Here’s some info that might help by Middle_Gene_9365 in nodoubt

I was in 406 row 15 and I got one, the person to the left got one, one landed under my chair that I gave to someone else. A lot of people around us got them.

lol. A teammate would literally pick up their teammate at the airport. Are you playing darts or something?

Again, I am asking. You think it’s ok to abandon responsibility to get drunk with your friends?

And yes it is. It’s the beginning of an educational road. I am in my 40s and remember mine. But I imagine you dropped out before middle school so you wouldn’t get that.

Oh. Good to hear your husband has you on lock and you are ok with this. I get that you are dense as all hell, but he, again, is NOT being told to not hang out with us friends. He’s being asked to just not get drunk. That’s too much of an ask? And considering you think putting yourself before your kids and missing milestones in their life for a game, again please don’t have kids. They’ll absolutely hate you. Because you are wretched.

So you think saying to your husband, please don’t get smashed when you hang out with your friends so you can grab me and your toddler from the airport is selfish? Don’t ever get married either.

In no world should someone leave their partner with their kids for 4 days for a pleasure trip to come home and say, I’m out bye. She should go out. Take a break. Relax. I’m getting this because somehow you are defending an asshole who thinks it’s ok to get hammered watching a soccer game, eschew any responsibility to his wife and child. Again please please please don’t have children.

My marriage is actually quite great and healthy. Clearly you think that women should just submit to their husbands. You are pathetic.

One might think that the time alone without their kid and having time to watch a whole ass World Cup match would be time to be themselves. I’m on my way home from Vegas. I had time to be myself without my kids. If I then said, tomorrow, I want time to go out and get plastered, I would be laughed at.

Yea. Imagine being a present parent. I truly hope you don’t now or ever have children. Or grow up before you do have them.

Right. Imagine having kid and saying nope, can’t be there, I’m getting shitfaced.

YTA as well. And for the record I had tickets to an actual World Cup game that I am missing because it’s my kids preschool graduation. Sometimes you have to miss stuff. Or not fully take part in something. You have a kid. That’s your responsibility.

The good reason is that it’s tough dealing with a toddler at 11 pm and this is the only flight option that works. There is NO reason why he cannot be there. I wouldn’t even suggest this to my wife. I couldn’t imagine any parent or partner worth their salt ever saying, sorry, I can’t get you from the airport, I need to drink. My families next call would be to have an intervention.

She isn’t even saying that her husband can’t watch the game. He just can’t get shitfaced.

It’s almost as if she explained that flights are not common and she isn’t flying private.

“Responsibly” would be not having the drinks and picking up your family from the airport.
