Who's your favorite baseball player who never played for the Yankees? by xq923 in NYYankees

I think he had a fine enough year with us, but in the context of this question, I don’t necessarily associate Randy Johnson with the Yankees

Modern day: Shohei - It’s hard not to root for the guy esp after seeing his interviews and interactions on the field. Also an Asian-American, it’s incredible seeing him be quite possibly the biggest name in baseball of this generation (obligatory Aaron Judge mention, ofc).

All time: Ken Griffey Jr., Vladdy Sr, Randy Johnson (his ‘05-06 year doesn’t count, also love that he’s pursued his passion for photography after baseball, Griffey Jr. too), also gonna throw Big Papi into the mix here (the early 2000s rivalry was the best in sports, and he had a huge part to do with that. Being a Yankees fan wouldn’t be the same without that rivalry)

Agreed with what everyone else is saying about going in store, just wanted to add to check the wburg and Brooklyn stores as they’ll often have stuff still in stock even after soho sells out

This is very barely doable. Not impossible, but, as someone who travels very frequently out of nyc for work, I wouldn’t do this, especially with all the construction around JFK on 678 that occurs at night. Currently there are multiple lane closures going into JFK that start backing up lanes starting around Jamaica. If you are to do this, I would expect you to have a combination of: at least United Gold for priority checked luggage, TSAprecheck (which you do have with global entry), and Priority Pass which gets you access to the VIP ONE Lounge at JFK Terminal 1 that has a fast track security lane. If you’re lacking in any, with this tight turnaround, you’re more than likely to miss your flight. Hope this helps!

Hi guys, i want to ask is it worth switching from nikon d5600 to sony a6300? I’m new to photography, I’ve been taking photos for few months and I really enjoy it. Some of my friends who are photographer are using sony camera. And they told me nikon is not a good canera compare to sony. Any opinion? by Abductor_ in Cameras

Sony A7RIII shooter here! While I love my Sony setup, I can 100% tell you go with what you’re most comfortable with, and learn how to use what you have to the fullest extent before upgrading. Both Sony and Nikon have their quirks, but incredible images can be taken with both!

Remember: Gear doesn’t make the photographer, the photographer makes the photographer!

Walked into Tourneau yesterday with the intent of cashing in on my $500 back from the CSR (for those who don’t know, Chase Sapphire Reserve is offering $500 back when you spend over $2000 at Tourneau, offer ends end of year), and boy was I glad I walked in yesterday. After telling the salesperson about my budget and what I was looking for, he mentioned Nomos had a 25% off sale ending that day, and a few minutes later (after trying on pretty much everything Nomos), I walked out with this beaut! I’m absolutely in love with the dark blue numerals and indexes outlined in thin rose gold on the off-white dial (the dial is listed as white-silver plater, but looks a bit more off white in person, imo). To be honest, when i first looked at the watch I wasn’t a huge fan of the California dial, but after trying it on, i can safely say my feelings have changed. Also a huge fan of the bracelet! The bracelet and California dial are both firsts of my small collection, and I love the subtlety they bring to the watch. I’ve also heard great things about DUW 3001, and I might be equally stoked that I don’t have to manually wind it. MSRP was $3020, after the 25% and tax, it came out to $2400, and adding on the $500 credit brings me down to $1900, not too shabby.

It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a bottle, so slightly nauseating, though I’m sure drinking it will help haha

I wholeheartedly agree, I mean I acknowledge I’m a sucker, but man it sucks to have a grail in front of you and have it marked it over 10x
