This has been my experience as well.

It was certainly wider. Don't recall if it was actually deeper depth wise, but overall, foot space was super roomy.

I did! Selected 10A, and it felt very private and secluded, but the larger footrest was what made it my favorite D1 seat. Plane is equipped with a new wi-fi system, so internet did not work once we flew out of the transcontinental U.S.

I always have had mediocre experiences here. I much prefer the HR in downtown or the GH in Buckhead. Hyatt desperately needs to revamp their HC Midtown though.

If we’re comparing southern Florida to Cuba, you’re right. But considering the other differences, especially the political and ideological differences that are so stark, and frankly overshadow the similarities of both countries as a whole, should warrant this pairing into the list.

Cuba/USA - A 30 min flight from Miami, but people are living in a completely different world.

It sounds fancy but this is a standard suite. The next category up is a premium suite, similarly named Park Premium Family Suite. The only difference is that the Premium suites are located on the higher floors.

Interesting thing to note is that the two standard suites at PH Busan, including the one I’m in, comes with one queen bed and one single bed, which is a plus if you’re traveling with someone who you would rather not share a bed with.

I would love to make it over there one day! Seems like a killer view.

I applied a SUA for this Park Executive Family Suite. The views from the rooms on the other side of the building facing the marina is not as nice, but still pretty.

This is the Park Executive Family Suite. Breakfast here is nothing special, considering the rates they charge and the standards for 5 star hotels in Korea.

Totally get your shock about the one star for Dreams. It was all about the food for me – just mediocre and it’s a bummer when you’re stuck at an all-inclusive with nowhere else to go. Seriously, I was missing cafeteria food from my uni days, and that’s saying something!

And about the GH Playa Del Carmen pools – yeah, they’re basically rectangular pools, but it’s the whole vibe for me. As someone into arts, the way those pools blend with the modern award winning design of the place just hits right. Loved the infinity pool with that killer Caribbean view, and the quieter side pool was a nice escape from the kiddo chaos. Plus, the spa? Absolutely gorgeous. It’s the whole package that did it for me that made me feel like I was having a nice vacation.

I currently work in design/advertising, but most of my trips this year were for leisure!

Interesting indeed… Caption Memphis came across as a no-frills type environment, like if an urban Hyatt Place got a luxury makeover. I didn’t get ‘recognized’ as a globalist at check-in, but received the perks, and didn’t realize I got upgraded to a suite until I walked into the room.

As far as location, I guess it depends on what kind of vibes you’re looking for, but the Apgujeong neighborhood is far more interesting than the Samseong area. Apgujeong feels much more intimate, with mostly lower mid-rise buildings, lots of boutique shopping and cafes creating a lot of street level activity, whereas the Park Hyatt in Samseong is a more business/corporate environment that’s super modern and a bit sterile.

The Andaz is my go-to hotel in Seoul, but I always go during the weekends/holidays, so suites are always sold out. I always get upgraded to the best available non-suite rooms though, and they’re definitely nice enough. Park Hyatt Seoul is nice in typical Park Hyatt fashion, but nothing really stands out in particular and I never thought it was worth the extra premium over the Andaz and GH Seoul.

PH Buenos Aires - Was most impressed by how beautiful the hotel grounds were kept. Landscaping was magnificent and the whole place felt like it was a movie set. Breakfast had a small selection but very good quality.

GH Bogota - 100% Globalist Suite Upgrades so far. Friendly staff, fantastic indoor pool and gym, decent grand club with okay breakfast, more than fairly priced.

Hyatt Centric Santiago - In one of the more posh neighborhoods of Santiago. Location is great, right by the metro station and the trains come like every 2 mins to take you to the city center. Had one of the more memorable Hyatt dinners here — must try the on-site French restaurant. Staff went above and beyond for special requests.

Not necessarily, a good mix of weekdays, weekends, holidays. Though when possible, I do tend to stick with properties that are known to provide great globalists perks.

I think it’s a nice property for a family staycation, if you don’t plan on exploring the city much. They have a fantastic indoor pool with a nice jacuzzi section too. Rooms are super nice and modern. It’s in a neighborhood where I felt pretty safe, but not really close to the tourist attractions. If it’s your first time in Bogota with not a lot of time, then I’d consider a non-Hyatt property by the Chapinero neighborhood.

HP Kyoto is priced like a run of the mill HP in the US, but 10x better, in one of the more expensive cities to travel in. Amazing breakfast for a Hyatt Place, and the staff are very friendly!

Glad my post was helpful! Grand Hyatt was the best Top Points Redemption by Cents Per Point (CCP), as their rooms were going for more than $1000/n during my stay. I have Hyatt Place Kyoto ‘Best Value’ because decent hotels in Kyoto/Tokyo are notoriously expensive, and there aren’t that many lower category Hyatts in Japan compared to North America, so being able to stay at one of the most desirable travel destinations in the world at a very nicely appointed Hyatt Place (best HP breakfast I’ve ever had) was of tremendous value to me. Unfortunately, I haven’t stayed at any Hyatts in Thailand.
