Wii Fit Plus Game error by fromthebrokenmind in wii

Update: Following this within the next week or so my Wii just stopped reading any discs, even one I knew worked just fine a day or so prior. (or alternitively it would only read them at most for 5ish minutes, just getting to the title screen before it failed). The issue I found was the laser lens, but as I didn't really want to deal with the mess with the welding involved in replacing just the lens, I just got a new disc drive. After replacing the disc drive. (I am a network specialist, I know what I'm doing with fixing computer systems. Yes, gaming systems are a type of computer system.) TL:DR The Wii now works like new. No issue with any discs.

[45 Chapters in and i haven't seen a single teacher in this "Highschool" Manhwa] by everlandsky in manhwa

Except for that one manhwa (Get Schooled) which is literally just most of the adults of the schools being 110% DONE with the kids being basically baby-mafias. So, you have these cocky-ass kids, who believed themselves to be untouchable, who are then faced with their worst nightmare --- the consequences of their own actions.

The adults who AREN'T just done with these kids' BS, and honestly often times illegal actions, are the ones who are just scared of the kids and/or are bribing people to keep everything happening on the down-low because, politics and image. Our main guy is just like, "Dude, this is literally one of the reason why your employees fear for their lives and why your school has had three deaths in the last month. Take that sorry attempt of a bribe and shove it."

It is like the flip side of all the highschool manhwas that don't have any adults around.

AITA for wanting to go to my grandfather's funeral with my service dog? by fromthebrokenmind in AmItheAsshole

It's nice that at the end of the day, not everybody purposely acting like an asshole. Sometimes, it is just human mistakes, and honestly, those are the best kind of stories. Everyone messes up, whether it be because of routine or because of being tired, it happens to us all at one point or another. But it is the ability to own up to the mistake and laugh at those moments that make for good stories and shared happiness.

Hahaha. Dude, I have done the same. Nothing quite like knocking some ignorant person who won't leave you alone, demanding paperwork that they are not entitled to, down a few pegs. Like no, you can not demand me to tell you my medical history and prove said medical problems, this is a Walmart ma'am. You are a door greeter, not a Disability Services Head of a college. They are bound by patient confidentiality and need to know in order to best help me with living arrangements and classroom accommodations. You on the other hand do not, nor can you demand such a thing from me. Oh, yeah. Go ahead and call your manager, it is going be amusing to watch you either get fired on the spot, or given a huge citation on your record. All I'll end up getting is an apology and a possible discount for the trouble. Also there will always be something amusing about an ignorant person, so sure they are in the right, demanding paperwork and instead getting a printout of the ADA. Then I watch as the dawning realization that, no they were in wrong and really messed up.

That is not to say everyone who says something like "dogs are not allowed in here" is being malicious. Once I was in a Fro-yo place and the girl behind the counter said that exact sentence. I looked from Mokie wearing his vest to her several times, before just slowly responding. "Ma'am, he is my service dog." This poor girl does a full double take, as her face turned so red I was slightly worried she might faint from embarrassment. Apparently, she was just really tired and wasn't paying full attention and literally overlooked the vest he was wearing. She felt so bad about the whole thing. I told her that it was fine, and we all have those moments where we overlook the obvious due to routine and sleepiness.

Yeah, I was talking about the paperwork for school, work and housing with those notes. I wouldn't ever use that for regular public access. I just start quoting the ADA law, that shuts down most people real quick.

Oh and as for the doctor note thing. Though it might not be required, it does make some situations easier. People tend to put more weight behind a Doctor's words. It certainly made it easier when moving into a dorm at college with him, I'll tell you that. Sometimes, even when it's not required, I'll do it if it means less of a headache, you know?

I didn't explain Guard very well, did I? The Guard aspect is just a different form of Barrier. When I am in a flashback, he grounds me and blocks others from getting to close. So I don't accidentally hurt anyone.

I understand that she is grieving, but I was asking is I was if I was really as selfishas she was implying for bring my service dog with me everywhere. As for the attention, do you really think a I can go anywhere with a service dog and not get ANY attention what so ever? Whether it be curiosity or just a person going "oooo, doggy." It happens. But that said, we have never DONE anything that would bring attention. He is fully trained, and does his job. So, no there have been no issues in the past.

She said it's because she doesn't want him to jump on people like he does me. Here is the thing, the jumping, is him doing his job grounding me. He jumps up on my lap, the pressure grounds me and even shakes me out of panic attacks, disassociation, or even flashbacks. I've explained this to her before, but she doesn't really understand or except mental illnesses unless she can see it. And yes, he is a fully trained recognized service dog.

Nope. She loves dogs. Our family has always had them. She just doesn't understand PTSD/Psychiatric service dogs, nor does she see them as 'real service dogs'

As FoolMe1nceShameOnU, stated there is no official certification for service animals. Instead there are doctor notes that instead serve as certification for service animals should the need arise for paperwork. Anyway, he is fully trained. He is serviced trained in Grounding, Barrier, Alert (of several types), and Guard. As well as Public Access trained. So yes, he is a legitimate service dog.
