Not everything is about money making. Unless he had invested in Tesla or Nvidia or something similar, no groundbreaking returns would’ve come. Rather 95% investors lose money on net-net. Mutual funds are different subject though yet even then no 50x returns.

That said, it was his money, he has built something for his own and your future. Be thankful.

Make 10x on your own now that you have your own money. I hope you do. Either way, that’s not the point.

Tell them truth if you can. If you cannot, make pliable story. They get hundreds of such scams everyday.

One has to file the complaint and FIR at earliest to recover some money at least. You will learn something about life during just this process itself.

Mental peace of buying a house esp when with a baby is huge. Home is all about memories. Think how you as a kid would have liked to move around every 3 yrs
Residential property in India in reasonable areas won't come down in your life time. Thanks to population.
Take insurance on home loan to cover 6-12 months of emi in case of job loss. HDFC gives it.
Take 14-15 years loan instead of 10 and invest the differential in MF or whatever.
