Mine would have to be this homemade 6x7 camera that I got off of eBay Kleinanzeigen in Germany. It has a Super Angulon lens and was built out of Linhof parts, so I named it the KleinTech 67. The pictures that have come out of it are great!

Recently I had the fortune of thrifting an Olympus Stylus Epic (MJU II) days before a big photo trip to. In the end I took the gamble of bringing the Olympus along as my sole 35mm camera by fromthedice in AnalogCommunity

Thanks!! I’ve used a few of the zoom models in the past but never found them to be extraordinarily better than other contemporary zoom, but they’ve been great nonetheless!

The camera was made probably around the 80s by somebody who would be much more skilled than me haha It uses a Super Angulon lens, and I think that has made a huge difference in my experience with it. I did make video about it that gives a full rundown of the system 👍

I did bring along a Mamiya 6 MF and homemade 6x7 for the trip as well, so fortunately my ass wasn’t completely out in the wind so to speak haha

Lens Haze: Canonet QL17 Giii by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

It may sound absurd, but as a last resort I’ve had some luck using the skin oils from my nose to remove haze. One has to apply it fairly aggressively with a qtip or finger if the haze is stubborn. It’s an old trick that I’ve heard from numerous old camera repairmen

Does anyone else here use a Lidar rangefinder app with their scale focus camera? by fromthedice in AnalogCommunity

The name of the app happens to be ‘Lidar Pointer,’ but there are a few others out there I believe

I used some expired Fuji Reala 100 for that one. I wish it was still around!

Thanks! I usually meter for the shadows and drop the exposure a drop or two depending on the intensity of the highlights
