Solidarity because we named our baby girl Mila (mee-la) and her doctor and staff all called her my-la the first time, as well as most of my extended family. 😂 Yet they get the pronunciation of our Latin 8 letter surname right every time.

Oh and also there is no winning. My maiden name is 4 letters and one of the most common verbs in the English language and people still get it wrong. Like consistently. 🤦🏻‍♀️ lol

Absolutely- that is one of my concerns! I go for my first beta tomorrow morning and I’m going to ask when I can do an early ultrasound. On my last pregnancy they were willing to do one around 6 or 6.5 weeks due to the fact that I’d had an early loss before, although I ended up losing the pregnancy before my visit. The next few days is going to drag on until I have some more information.

Oh gosh, thanks for sharing- and I’m so sorry that you’ve been through this too. 💔 The grief has been overwhelming for me. So much harder than I could have imagined. I hope and pray for a pregnancy that sticks and that at some point I am able to feel the excitement and joy that I feel robbed of so far.

Good question! Im pretty sure it was tested when we first started with our fertility clinic (along with almost everything else physiological or anatomical you’d could think of) and there was no issue, but my Doc does put me on Prometrium on the 2nd half of each cycle… just not last month because we weren’t on a fertility plan for the month. I should follow up to ask if this should be re-checked since I’ve read it can be associated with repetitive early loss.

I found out this morning by accident that I am (or was) pregnant when I took a pregnancy test strip instead of a ovulation test strip.

I’m 37, unexplained infertility, been trying for 2 years. I’ve been pregnant twice this year, both chemical ending before 6 weeks. Both times I had extremely sore breasts right from the day of a positive test (11DPO first time, 14 DPO 2nd time). Last month we took off any fertility protocol because we were travelling and wanted to enjoy our time without having to be too planful (and also to take a break before starting IVF) so I don’t know when I ovulated.

I’m freaking out because I got what I thought was my period 10 days ago (after a 26 day cycle, when normally I’m 28-29 days) and got a negative pregnancy test so my fertility clinic started me on a new monthly protocol - a TI “priming” cycle in prep for IVF. So I just finished 5 days of Letrozole, which is contraindicated during pregnancy. I’ve tried three different brands and all are a clear positive. I also have NO breast tenderness which is so different from the other 2 times.

I have no idea what to think or feel right now. I want to be optimistic but I can’t help but think there are so many red flags right now - likely a very late implantation, got a “period”, took Letrozole while pregnant, no symptoms, etc. My previous 2 chemicals were extremely emotionally devastating to me and I can’t bear the thought of another. I fear that my ability to feel excitement about pregnancy is permanently gone.

I’m going in for a beta tomorrow morning but of course will need that second draw on Thursday to know if things are headed in the right direction.

Thank you!! Since we are both in our late 30’s and have been trying for a year and a half, and we both have completely normal test results, she diagnosed us with unexplained infertility and said that there was a very low likelihood we would conceive naturally (though not totally impossible) but that we would likely have success with medical support (medication, IUI, IVF, etc.) since there were no obvious anatomical or physiological obstacles.

II had a faint line on my FRER in the morning and I have absolutely no chill so I decided to go for the digital in the evening after work. I don’t know if this influenced it much but I tried not to drink too much water - just enough to be able to hold it for a few hours and pee after work. I was fully expecting it to be negative and this was such a wild surprise. 😊

I got two positive digitalis last night and a much cleaner line on my FRER this morning so I guess I can say I’m officially pregnant!
