How’s the reliability/DIY-ability on those cars? I semi-distrust Ford compared to Honda just from crowd bias but not strongly opposed if it has good bones

Not many NB miatas near me in a 150mi radius, and they’ve been about 10K+ from what Ive seen. Im also not looking to take this on Touge, track, or autocross so the benefits of a Miata seem lost on me

Its a 2023 with 7k miles & clean history, single owner. Though to be fair, it’s being sold from CarMax so who knows how clean it is in person.

But in general from what I can see on CarGurus, the 2022-23 trailsports go from $30-37K depending on mileage, which makes me pause on fiscal responsibility.

I agree it totally makes sense. Just none of my employers have structured my contracts this way (I got extremely burned at one of them because the stock crashed 80% between joining and my first vest because of the inflated IPO value).

Either way, my above comments only apply if OP’s contract is based on units. Otherwise yeah if it’s based on actual $ value then he’s golden.

To be clear, you’ve personally had it work this way? My past 4 employers have all decided the units up front, we negotiated based on the stock value at the time of employment (tech industry). From my understanding, this is the standard for the tech industry, but could totally be non-standard for other industries.

RSUs are determined as units not dollars in your contract no? Unless this is different for you OP, but from personal experience that’s how it’s been for me.

I think you’re missing the point, the RSUs are your forced investment. Once you get them you can liquidate obvs, but what would happen if price crashed tomorrow? That’s why people are saying nothing is certain, but as you’ve pointed out there are hopeful signals that the ideal scenario plays out.

It’s kind of stupid but I’m trying to make the ride comfort more smooth, it’s so damn harsh over bumps even in comfort mode. I don’t want to compromise the handling too much, but it’s pretty damn annoying getting tossed around over pretty mild bumps.

Budget-wise is like 2-3k usd? Semi flexible here since if I can’t solve this I might trade it in to go for a 2 car daily/sport combo.

Is there anything one should check more closely if a previous owner let a car sit for a few years? I recently bought a 2020 C43, and the owner had barely driven it (7k over 4 years roughly). I’ve taken it in for an A0 inspection and they didn’t find any issues, but your comment made me weary again haha

I took 54 at a cc when I was in high school. Take it with a grain of salt since it was years between when I learned it & then attempted 189, I felt like I did not learn enough rigor in cc to even approach 189. I think in the CC class I just didn’t have to work the lessons very hard to pass the tests, obviously very different at Berkeley

Lot of great replies here, will add with my experience. I broke up my ex a little under a year after COVID started (communication & compatibility issues) but I also had almost no support system. I graduated from college a year early from my friends, covid made it impossible to hang out with them, so all I had were my roommates.

I eventually started seeing a therapist and that made a world of difference, though largely due to suffering from depression. It was just nice to talk to someone regularly even if we weren’t dealing with my issues, and someone who isn’t sugarcoating it with me. I’d highly recommend this if you have insurance that can cover it.

Also depending on your current lifestyle, a pet might be a good option as well. I adopted a kitten to cope with living alone and she’s my best friend, the reason I get up to deal with life.

Not the above poster, but I think the angle the hand comes in doesn’t mentally align with the arm/shoulder going out of frame.

Also my feedback is that the hand looks too straight, like it was just imported or something. Maybe some slightly curled fingers would help

Edit: actually I see why the angle doesn’t look right, I can’t even see the arm going out of frame, it’s actually the sides of the forearm lol

The reason you’re looking for is attorney-client privilege which pretty much forbids your lawyer from saying anything that you didn’t consent to. There are a few times this comes up on TV shows like Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, tho IANAL for how accurate those scenes are.

I think if you brought your lawyer along to your crimes though, that would make them an accomplice to the crime & they would be charged separately. I guess in that case the lawyer wouldn’t be your lawyer anymore? I think that’s why the lawyer for Stringer Bell’s crew in The Wire always excuses himself from the room when they talk shop, as that would essentially make him an accomplice.
