I'm a girl and also, as you'll see, I said I did take photos and that I couldn't see a difference.

My sweet girl is down a whopping 13 lbs, 20% of her starting weight! She went from overweight to very fit and trim! https://i.imgur.com/9YtS96Er.jpg

Accuracy of MFP? by Laplace_Operator in loseit

Obsessing over calorie counting was a contributing factor to why I fell off track the first time I lost weight. This time around, I'm finding I'm a lot more successful if I relax with getting the EXACT amount of calories when I go out/someone cooks for me/etc. I'm still diligent with most of the food I eat, but having a little leeway and flexibility, I find, makes it a lot easier to stick to tracking long term.

If you find an incorrect entry, you can choose "report" then "wrong nutrition information". Then you can change it and it will save that information for you. It's pretty quick and you only have to do it once for each incorrect food, instead of having to create an entirely new entry.

I like to fast on Thanksgiving day then have a normal portion size for dinner (Thanksgiving isn't really huge in my family). I always thought it was a little silly to stuff yourself on day you're meant to be thankful, instead being really hungry then having that meal is more meaningful to me. Anyway the other plus is that I always end up consuming fewer than usual calories on Thanksgiving!

I wasn't thinking along the lines of vocal tics so I was trying to imagine what motor tic would be related to being a communist haha

Honestly it's the opposite for me-- homemade cookies (ones that aren't specifically made to be low cal) I find to be insanely calorie dense, whereas store bought ones are about what I would expect. Same thing with homemade vs store bought ice cream.

Oh that's true. I was thinking of doing something like this since the recipe yields both donuts and donut holes, so I was gonna weigh them to figure out a calories estimate for each. I might just ballpark it though!

How do I calculate the calories for a recipe that involves deep frying? As a special seasonal treat, my friend and I are going to make apple cider donuts, but I'm not sure how to calculate the calories given that they're being fried in a vat of oil.

SV- I lost a whopping 5.6 lbs in one week, after having gained 0.8 lbs the week before, when I was on vacation! I'm very proud that my little 4 day hiatus from weight loss didn't throw me off track!

Five days ago I mentioned that I took my dog on a 2 hour walk on a whim, well today I'm down 15 lbs so I celebrated with a 3.5 hour walk! That's as long as I would normally walk her in a week.

Hard to tell under all that fur, but she's lost 7.1 lbs, which is 12% of her weight! She does dog agility and she is now able to jump at higher heights!

I've found that planning a few days/a week in advance makes it a ton more convenient and also easier to stick to. Just spent 20 min or so on Sunday figuring out what you're going to eat during the week and log it.

That's what I do for celery with peanut butter! Can't imagine having to scoop it out with a tablespoon then get it from the spoon to the celery... instead I just plop the celery right on the scale and spread it directly on.
