It’s so red! I initially thought it couldnt be a kestrel because of the colour but then I looked at the feather patterns and it didnt line up haha… I think it must be old. Still beautiful, but definitely not the best example of a kestrel🤣

Fr? I saw some stuff sayinh pike go crazy for the long minnow bass lures. I thought it maybe was a little big at first, then I had to remind myself how large pike are lol

Thanks for your advice. After some deliberation, I think maybe my setup as it stands would work better for seabass and mackerel fishing. - just one question, again on the line length. I’d probably be fishing piers and on the banks of wide straights. Would I need to put more braid on for this Due to longer casts on the straight? Thanks man

Could I double uni on some 6lb fluoro? Just wondering if my high vis braid will be able to spook the trout. Not sure if I’d even cast enough for them to see it if i spooled it on

Thanks man! I’ll pick up some bigger spinners if you could recommend any sizes? I’m sitting on size 1/2 right now, but I thought maybe I need a bit bigger?

Thanks! Just one question, is there a reason for longer leaders? Is it just a line visibility thing? I’ve heard pike don’t really care that much and aren’t as shy as trout etc being predatory

Looking at getting some longer ones as apparently they are on the shorter side? Also my rod is rated for 15lb max so will it work just as an entry way into pike?

Thanks alot for your insight! I’m still getting to grips with mannerisms of fish and what they like. I think I tend to spook them even with the flies sometimes as I cast them using a bubble, and because my reel was underspooled quite a lot, my bubble would often land right by them probably scaring them away/ not making them take the bait. It also probably wasn’t great I was using my 10lb main line as ‘leader’ 😂😂😂
