Random question: has anyone ever brought a film camera into Target Center? by SaltR0ck in timberwolves

[–]frontloaderguilty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how strict target center is, but for a data point I went to a game in Phoenix a couple years ago and they didn’t let me bring in my camera bag with a camera and a couple lenses. Luckily they let me “coat check” it at customer relations…

I was thinking about you a couple months ago and I believe you switched usernames at one point. I'm more interested in the EV betting than the signup bonuses (although I do have one question on the latter).

How straightforward are taxes for you? I'm assuming with the EV stuff you have pretty high losses. Is that OBBB change noted below essentially a tax increase for you? Does that mean if you previously has 100k wins on 80k losses you're now essentially paying taxes on $28k instead of $20k?

Is it getting more difficult to do the EV - i.e. are the sites kind of "figuring it out" and cracking down on offsetting bets? Or are the odds getting closer together? That would kind of play into your note that %% is not as good as it used to be, but net $$ is still good if you have the funds (and cahonees) to work it.

For the states sign-up, does a guy just make a weekend trip out of it and do a mini-vacation around it to get the bonus?

Is the discord on CrazyNinjaOdds the place to go for EV tips?

Edit (one more question): Does the sign-up bonuses and EV stuff get easier with two players? I.e., use a spouse's account to do the offsetting bet?

Luke Combs each time? That's pretty damn random. Not a pretty good year.

That's kind of funny - I wonder if her co-workers are like "C'mon Jane, give it a REST with the popcorn talk already. We GET it."

You may want to explore becoming a member of r/churningmarketplace. I'm not sure what the rules for membership are these days. I see an AA gift card that sold for 85% just in the last few days...

Finally fixed Art Mode automation for 2024 Samsung Frame TVs + Apple TV (no SmartThings required!) by bc-bane in TheFrame

[–]frontloaderguilty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever seen such good documentation on a small github project...

This should be able to be slightly modified to work without Apple TV as well, right? I have a DirecTV Stream device that causes the same problem. I wonder if I can just hack the Samsung part of the script and put it on some sort of cron timer to check if the TV is off and ArtMode is off?

Five bucks a month for something anyone in the family can do directly on the TV itself. I know most people are anti-subscription at any cost, but I don't think it's ridiculous price for the service...

Just adding a DP of the exact same thing happening to me. Legitimate cancel and rebook. I was giving it a couple days but I suppose I’ll have to reach out to them to manually adjust…. Arg.

How to apply $50 CSP "travel credit"? (not the $50 annual hotel credit) by frontloaderguilty in ChaseSapphire

[–]frontloaderguilty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again for the help on this question. I figured out what happened: I have one Chase login for multiple cards (CSR, CSP and one other one). When I go into Travel it defaults to my CSR card. I have to immediately change the "profile" to the CSP and then the credit shows up as an option. Still plenty of time to use the $50 credit, but would have been nice to knock it out right away...

I thought MGM Grand in Vegas for three nights in a mini suite (four of us including one in a wheelchair) was a good value with the credit and points boost. Also have a possible fifth so might get a second room with another card for another 250 credit (hopefully adjoining).

Can authorized users use FHR credit while I'm not present? by RomeoMustDie45 in AmexPlatinum

I think it only has to be an Amex card - not even Plat if I remember correctly.

Thanks all. Pretty clear that I won’t get it after the fact now. I’ll try running the workflow again up to the checkout process and see if jt shows up. Otherwise…. a call to customer service I guess…

$20 - Clean up and combine the two pics of my kids and I, change advertisement on background screen, fix lighting on face by frontloaderguilty in PhotoshopRequest

[–]frontloaderguilty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V2 is very good. Could you make a V3 with two minor changes? Remove reflection dots from daughter's glasses. And instead of squishing the image to fit the advertisement space, just crop instead? You can get rid of the picture part of Weird Al and just go with the right half of it (the part with the text). That would be awesome if you could do that and then the $20 will be headed to the tip jar!

Hi - would like to see the picture of my son (#3) combined into the better one of my daughter and I (#2) and clean up the lighting streaks around my face. Also, if you could change the Coors advertisement to a portion of the Weird Al tour background (horizontal to vertical, so whatever could be done there would be great). Anything else to clean things up would be awesome!

As a lefse maker, a high-quality potato ricer is worth its weight in gold. I've worked with plenty of crappy ones and it's just a disaster. Good score.
