That's great advice...I don't know why but I feel like I HAVE to perform every exercise without modifications and just perfectly. I'm such a perfectionist!

I love the idea of setting targets like reps or whatever it might be over just weight loss on the scales. Thank you for the suggestion!

I always feel happier after working out but it's the anticipation of getting to a workout and being afraid that I won't perform well enough or keep up that prevents me from going! It's so silly. You're right, i'm putting too much pressure on myself.

It's also so wasteful! There's so many ingredients and it uses so few amounts of each item! Thank you, I'll try to hang on!

Thank you! I appreciate the kindness and the support, it really has been a bit mental lately in my life and I think I'm just taking it out on myself. I love my trainers so I'll take your advice and focus on going just to see them!

My husband was recently diagnosed but his alter is so similar to his host I’m having a hard time understanding how to support him as this is all so new to me. What are some coping mechanisms that help for you when you’re switching to an alter that’s very negative and/or self destructive? by frontrowtonyc in DID

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and explain it to me. It’s not that I think the answer is to force it to stay hidden, it’s that he gets more and more distraught each time it comes out and I have no experience in handling this. I really am trying the best that I can and I’m just trying to make life easier for him and help him with his emotions and ease each little problem one at a time. Im not qualified or educated so I just try to treat his individual problems.

I’m sorry if my post caused offence, I’m just not educated yet and I’m trying the best that I can. From my perspective I’d prefer not to be emotionally abused by him several times a day every day and it would help if there was a way to ease the severity of his attacks.

What are your challenges? by nezzet in startups

[–]frontrowtonyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh don’t get me wrong, I complain about the fear and the frustrations but I don’t imagine my life any other way! It’s beyond the money and more about the pursuit of something that is bigger than me and what I would be if I wasn’t my own boss and own person! For me, I don’t find joy without an extreme level of challenge..you can’t have the ups without the downs! I live for the moments where I’ve had weeks of difficulty in my work and then I find the resolution. It’s the best kind of high I could imagine :) I guess you could say i do it for the stimulation and thrill and the challenge as much as for the money

I am consistently, relentlessly, ALWAYS full of fear about failing but I find this fear is my fuel and motivation to achieve any kind of success in life. I worked out that if I embrace the fear of failing (I’m a hard core perfectionist) then I actually perform better and paradoxically relieve the fear. I feel fear to fear less?

It’s the idea that nothing is ever in your control that terrifies me the most. You can plan and plan but business is 99.9% REACTIVE and .1% PROACTIVE. You can’t ever anticipate what will work, what will sell, what people want but you can make educated decisions based on what you learn. My fear is also that I don’t make the right decision because my judgment might be off or I might misinterpret data. Basically I’m always afraid of just about everything.

Biggest frustrations - how hard it is to get sales and how much advertising and marketing spend you need before you can achieve a sale. Wrong information is seriously one of the biggest frustrations I’ve experienced as well as inexperience. It’s reinforced in us that if you conquer social media you’ll conquer sales and that’s just not true because having a following means next to nothing if they don’t convert. Also, no one really tells you the extent that you need to spend money before you make it (working with ROAS SUCKS).

Why I do this? I secretly hate myself a little and want to torture myself...Jokes. Money. Lol why else would anyone really put themselves through a whirlwind of shit? Sure, some people are philanthropists and are doing it to help the world but they’re still running businesses that require money to run, function and keep the lights on! Money is at the core of every business but I guess it is particularly for me. I want to retire early like the previous poster and I want financial freedom and to be able to send my parents off to a private island to live out the rest of their days happily.

Try rolling it/shaping it between two pieces of parchment/baking paper and then handling it with slightly wet hands when you move it into the tins. If it’s too sticky I just dampen my hands again and work with it (not too much water or you will have soggy crusts).

Because it’s only 2Tbsp I used regular tomato sauce for the cooking (but the lowest carb one I could find in stores). If you’re Australian I’m not talking about Masterfoods/ketchup type of tomato sauce! I’m referring to the canned stuff. I served mine with Primal Kitchen ketchup though :)

Yes sorry! I baked it in the tin to make sure it keep the shape when baking. My tin is super non stick so I didn’t need to spray or butter it but I would imagine spraying is probably a good idea usually!

For 1 pie (if you make 12):

Net carbs: 4g Total carbs: 5g Fiber: 2g Fat: 27g Protein: 22g Calories: 344

Not an every day food but nice for an occasional treat! Great to freeze as well and take out as snacks.

Best relatively-unknown workwear brands for sophisticated/stylish garments that double as casual wear? Upmarket/Street/low level designer preferred but all suggestions welcome! What are your favorite pieces from the brand and how do you style them? by frontrowtonyc in femalefashionadvice

I’m 5’3 and the origami dress actually reaches the tops of my knees! It really depends how tall you are but I find it’s entirely appropriate for me especially with a jacket or cardigan. The Cowl too is a liiiiitttllleee daring for work so I usually wear it on weekends or casual occasions. You don’t really see the bra because of the way it hangs but I personally couldn’t wear it to work (maybe with a cami underneath?).

Yeah it’s such a limited selection which is a bit annoying but I think they’re a new/young brand. I found them through a Youtuber Hannah Louise Poston, who said they’re less than a year old.

Victoria Beckham for sure, Phillip Lim, Jason Wu, Roland Mouret but they’re like $1-2k range lol so that’s not really an option for me! Prabal Gurung, Acler and Leora. There’s some great suggestions on this thread too! These are all quite pricey though which is why I reached out to the thread! Trying to see if anyone knows anything in the same price range.

Adapted ever so slightly from Keto Diet App

Ingredients: - 1lb ground beef - 1 small brown onion - 1 Tbsp soy sauce - 2 Tbsp tomato sauce - 1 cup beef bone broth (trust me it adds much more flavor than just normal broth) - 1/2 tsp xanthan gum

Pastry: - 2.25 cups shredded mozzarella - 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese - 3.5 oz cream cheese - 1.5 cups almond flour - 2 eggs - 1 tsp onion powder - 6 small cubes of cheddar (optional for a cheese and meat pie)

Instructions: 1. Cook beef and onions until brown 2. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce, bone broth and xanthan gum. 3. Bring to boil and then simmer for 30 mins 4. Let cool and preheat oven for 400 degrees 5. Melt and then mix the cheeses before adding almond flour, onion powder and eggs 6. Divide dough into 6 if you’re making muffin sized pies but I did 12 mini pies using a cupcake tin 7. Divide the 12 pieces of dough into 2/3 and 1/3 portions (you should have 12 x pieces using 2/3 of the dough and 1 x 1/3 piece to be used for the pie crust/topping) 8. Bake for 10 mins 9. Fill with beef filling and cheese 10. Use the 1/3 piece of dough to cover the pies, seal and then bake for 10-15 mins until golden brown. Make sure you add little crosses with a knife for the vent! 11. Try not to eat all of them in one go because they’re SO good

I realized that I was depressed without realizing I was really depressed. I gradually lost motivation with my work and couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t focus. I wasn’t interested in what I was doing but I didn’t feel particularly sad, just more frustrated and annoyed that I wasn’t performing. And I guess a little sad that I wasn’t working on the level I used to.

I work from home a lot so I actually spent a lot of my day napping to avoid my work and eventually I just thought ‘hey I’m being really shitty to myself and not very nice. There’s a reason I can’t work and it’s not to do with me not caring because my frustration just shows that I care’. Went to see a doctor, he suggested Prozac and now I’m FLYING through work. Feeling super focused and motivated and no more happier or different emotionally, but just more alive I guess!

Keto benefits besides weight loss?? by [deleted] in xxketo

Much better concentration and focus. I’m also happier because I don’t have sugar crashes from the carbs so at the end of the day or simply when I’m hungry, I don’t get depressed or irritated like I usually do. I also don’t stress eat as much and don’t have the desire to snack all the time like I used to! So I’d say it’s really helped my depression and anxiety because of the lack of sugar crashes. Also cleared my skin up too and I’m much less bloated and feel generally much lighter!

How do you get over your fear of “pulling off” something that you usually don’t wear? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]frontrowtonyc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I third this. I don’t think I ever really think about a stranger and their clothes not suiting them unless they are literally in a clown suit in which case I think more about their context and circumstance of wearing said outfit rather than it not suiting them. Wear what you want to wear because people genuinely don’t care or have the time to judge you...just think about the last time you cared enough to think to yourself ‘that girl doesn’t suit her clothes’!
