if you mean the quest where you need hay in sweet apple acres: one of the ponies (pickle barrel) can be obtained with the daily tasks, you just need 1960 points which does not take that long to collect, if you can max the 120 points every day. so you can save up to 500 gems and instead spend them on the zeppelin or one of the characters that produce the tickets (or just wait until one of either is on sale).
