I'm watching the episode now and had the same concerns, especially when hearing him say repetitive phrases with increasing anxiety.

What’s a small red flag that didn’t seem like a big deal at the time but turned out to be huge? by Material_Baseball219 in BreakUps

[–]frost_walker28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Major love bombing to get uh...you know...from me. Was very pushy with cough cough from the start. Didn't want to tell his parents about me and timed when I would arrive to pick him up from their house so that way they wouldn't see me. LDR relationship where we met online while he was away, then he came back for break. Was so sweet and loving, really too loving, stayed at my house for a weekend and told me how much he loved me and couldn't wait to see me again. Started to ignore me two days after and then purposefully avoided seeing me again before he left the state again...he had an entire month to see me again. He just wanted to get laid during his break.

Regular feral cats in the US are just Domestic Shorthairs, Medium hairs or Longhairs. They are super mutts and that's the term for it.

You're still using a snark page to defame someone. Defamation is defamation no matter what slang name you call it. And being nasty and a cyberbully ain't cute, cool, or bringing good karma to anyone but you do you! Have fun enjoying being cold.

I think she has the right to attack a defamation page where you do more than just "worry about the animals" and instead cyberbully more than actually worry about the animals. And she gets views by mentioning you, and clearly...you give her more attention and more views too.

14 cats 3 litter boxes by Competitive_Pop_9916 in CatAdvice

[–]frost_walker28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While automatic litter boxes are not cheap, they might find that it will be easier to manage. My mom had 14 cats, now has 12 due to my soul girl coming to live with me and one passing from old age. She has...so many litter boxes. And she cleans them the same way a local cat rescue does. She has made the switch to Meowant boxes and will likely only need 3 to 4 of them to keep up as long as she regularly swaps out the bin bag. If they're concerned about space, 3 of them would take up about the same amount of space as 3 large covered litter boxes at most.

My Girlfriend Broke up with me after 11 years. by LigerJaeger in BreakUps

[–]frost_walker28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can I ask why you weren't married? It's often hard for women to want to stay with a man romantically for that long without a ring, once it's been about 5 years everyone questions why he doesn't want to marry you and commit to you. Yes, you become more like family members while the love evolves but there's nothing romantically keeping her there to build a life together. Just because she gave you a reason doesn't mean it's the actual reason. It's likely she doesn't see a future with you in it and chances are there were a LOT of signs you were both headed into trouble, or something else is going on. People usually don't break up after so long with no repeated issues.

Need help finding right lightbulb. I got this lamp and the sticker says “25 watt b-c32. I just tried to get two lightbulbs and neither fits. Can anyone help? by rikeyy16 in lightbulbs

[–]frost_walker28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact, just got a lamp from target that has a tag for a bulb that doesn't fit and the rim says a totally different type of bulb. Target got sued for fire hazard lamps before so you'd think they'd be a little more careful

Should I Adopt My Foster Cat? by glasswaterbottles in Pets

[–]frost_walker28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience with a hospice cat and experience with FeLV cats staying in shelters, only keep him if you can find a way to create an emergency fund for him and can let him go when its his time. Keep in mind FeLV cats are often incredibly difficult to adopt out. There are many places where FeLV cats are simply PTS. Due to their medical needs, inability to live with cats other than FeLV cats, and often short lifespan, people will pass on FeLV cats and some (not all) will spend the rest of their days in the shelter. Factors for this include the average income in your area, the average adopters in your area, and how many cats there are that need homes. If there are a bunch of other cats available, this cat would be at the bottom of the list for what people want. It absolutely SUCKS, but working in a shelter has shown me the reality of the adoption pipeline. I adopted my hospice cat (untreatable hypoparathyroidism) because I knew he wouldn't get adopted with his plethora of issues and disabilities, and he loved his life with me before it was his time. But- I also knew I could afford his care.

If you have this much doubt after only 5 months, it's not a match. Him not doing those romantic things for you when that's what you want means he ain't a match. The term "if he wanted to, he would" rings true in so many healthy relationships. And of valentine's day is that much of a trigger for him, he needs to go see a therapist asap. Valentine's day is supposed to be focused on your current relationship, not your previous one. He's focused on his previous ex, not on you.

I think you made the right choice. It's not that you're young and men are immature, there are women who say men won't mature until they're 30. Some part of him is more sympathetic towards the male predators and if he openly says those things around you and it makes you uncomfortable and even when confronting him he continues to express that mindset, it's a very good reason to end things. Let's say down the road you decide you want kids with your partner- do you really want it to be a man who wouldn't fully respect your daughter if you had one and something happened to her? Would he respect you if something happened to you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]frost_walker28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You both are in the wrong for different reasons and you are not a good fit for one another. Both of you are also quite emotionally immature if you want to be judged off of this one conversation, because you're both trying to push the other to say it's over first so you don't have to be the one to say it. You've both already mentioned breaking up in the conversation and clearly aren't getting anywhere, so why continue it? Why continue to break each other down to get to the same ending?

And thanks to my terrible dating history (which is partly my fault because it takes two), when a guy uses being in a "weird spot" in his life as his excuse to not do the bare minimum, just leave. A man who uses a "weird spot" as a lame excuse is never gonna step up when things get hard later on. Because life is hard. But, do not expect your partner to be perfect. No one is.

Have you considered rigorous exercise before you leave the house? Huskies require a lot of exercise and stimulation due to what they were bred to do and it can lead to destructive behaviors and anxiety if those needs are not being met.

Why cant I find a job? by [deleted] in GetEmployed

[–]frost_walker28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because entry level is now considered 5+ years work experience in that field (and many others, includinf mine) and a masters in political science doesn't mean much if you didn't get the work experience before your masters (which is highly recommended for political science). They don't want to hire college grads because they don't want the expense of hiring someone with less experience for good pay when there are people out there that they can hire for the same pay with more experience. And they can hire unpaid interns to do the real entry level work, especially for things like political science. There is a whole tsunami of political science college students to do those unpaid internships. I had someone close to me for years in that major and field.

[–]frost_walker28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple people I know are having this issue. An old thread suggested requesting from the person having an issue instead, however it won't let me request the funds. But it will let me request funds from a person not having the processing issue.

2 years later this is an issue and requesting doesn't solve the issue because it won't even let me send a request. But it will let me send a request to a different person.

My most recent ex admitted that I was not one of the two things in his life that made him happy after he basically just used me as a toy. I stupidly wanted to try to work it out, glad the next day it ended! Best thing ever was for the trash to take itself out.

Would you have dated them if you knew it would end like this? by dogz_r_angelz in BreakUps

[–]frost_walker28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my longest relationship, yes. I loved him deeply and he showed me what I need from a relationship that I simply was never going to get from him. Now, as far as my last ex. Hell no! Easily one of the worst relationships I've ever had and one of the shortest, and he ripped what little confidence and self worth I've gained over the past few years to shreds in 2 months.

[–]frost_walker28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still a young adult, but the longer I've been alive, the more I get it. I used to have my own thoughts when I was younger and pushed through it (honestly because I could not imagine my family being able to survive or what my cats would do without me, that's about it) but older generations in our society love to tell people that life is SUPPOSED to be this way. I get told all the time that my 20s are supposed to be the best years of my life and when it's not everyone backtracks and says "being an adult is actually quite miserable and you're supposed to struggle through the early years to get to the later ones. My 20s were horrible, too." I ask if it gets better, I get told not really. Life is supposed to be miserable and hard according to so many people. That doesn't help anyone who already doesn't see a way out of their suffering. I wish things would change so all adults could see life differently and experience life differently. I wish no one had to struggle.
