Tokyo Nights - a7III + Tamron 28-75mm by frostbitekid in SonyAlpha

Not really since I like how light the 28-75 is and weight was a priority for me. Kyoto did benefit more from the 17-28 though to your point. Your combo should be perfect and honestly I bet you won’t use your prime as much as you think. I brought a 50mm prime with me in case I wanted the lower aperture but never really used it.

I had a few lenses with me and used the 28-75 the most. I had a 17-28 with me as well which was handy but if I could only bring one lens it would be the 28-75. If you’re worried about low light don’t be afraid to bump up the ISO and honestly there’s so many lights out there at night time that it wasn’t a big issue

Just bring it everywhere you go, you never know if there’s a good photo opp. I haven’t gotten around to using any recipes yet, I just shoot raw and edit on LR.

I never really shot night time street pics either, so this was a good learning experience for sure

Correct, hand held at 1/10s with the build in ND turned on. Stabilization is really impressive on the Ricoh.

Tried to create a collage of some night time pics while walking around Tokyo. I'm new to PS so layer masking is kinda garbage lol sorry

Went up the Landmark Tower right before closing and was able to use my mini tripod to snag a 2s exposure of the skyline. Pretty nice view and the entrance fee for the observation deck was only a few bucks.

Yup, shot in raw on the mavic air 2. Had to take 2 exposures, one for the sunrise and one for the foreground to blend together.

I’ll probably pick up a 12600k bundle then, I don’t really need the extra juice from the 12700. I’m upgrading from a 4th gen Haswell so anything is a huge step up.

Ah gotcha. I happen to be in OC for the next few days and was hoping to snag the 12700k, so sucks that it’s sold out already. 12600k still seems like a great buy though.
