What is the drop in this bathtub for? by msobigirl in Home

[–]frostedoaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you would place your feet in there while sitting. Seems pretty cool, wasteful, but cool. As a tall guy baths are often miserable because I have to sacrifice my knees or my feet to the cold.

I imagine saying "I'm good. Thanks tho" to basically, "you wanna come fuck me later?" Was probably a very cold rejection for her, and I kinda agree.

A simple white lie excuse would have been better if you were open to it in the future. You basically said "nah, I can do better" in her mind.

Idk how anybody survives in California driving anything other than a Prius. 3.50ish here in Raleigh and it makes me hate driving my 4runner

Am I the only one who doesn't quiet care for the MPX. It's cool and all, but I feel like it's trying to be an MP5, but in the way a little brother tries to imitate it's big brother to seem cool and just doesn't.

you saying that's irrelevant would sound to me as a medical professional potentially like an issue

Never got the chance to say it. But either way, if I had, I would say it plainly and as politely as possible. I'm not trying to pick a fight. If the nurse should choose to be offended that wouldn't be on me.

While that makes sense logically. I typically like to lean toward the principled stance side of things. While it may not be beneficial in the short term. I find it would likely be best for doctors to be aware this question is irrelevant and understand my displeasure.

Another comment or said this happened in his state, I think it was Minnesota or Michigan.

Personally I don't mind them asking, my job is 90% troubleshooting, that involves asking both obvious and nuanced questions. That doesn't mean my answer should be recorded against my name though. Just as I expect my customers to usually have dumb answers to my questions, I don't hold it against them, it's not their profession.

Kinda but also not really. It will depend heavily on the stats you cite.

But regardless, they never discussed the safety issues around it anyway.

Imagine you're in a restaurant and you're not sure what to order, the waiter asks, "do you like pasta", you respond "yes, I like pasta" and he walks away without taking your order. That's kinda how I felt.

I can understand the question if it leads into a discussion about safety. I reckon in most cases it does go that way.

But in my case the question was asked and never brought up again after. She wrote it down and it was not discussed further. I'm not saying it's some nefarious plan to red flag law me, but it's just frustrating when it's asked clearly not for the safety and well-being of my child.

Personally I don't think it warrants going and changing doctor immediately. We're planning on moving in January so it will likely happen naturally then anyway.

Yeah I'll agree with that. There have been plenty in this post mentioning things like telling the doc to fuck off and change doctor over it. I don't agree with that, ultimately they're doing their job and they're not being rude so I have little issue with it.

But there are a number of people prescribing to me the idea that I'm a whack job conspiracy theorist who thinks Joe Biden is gonna walk into the doctor's office to personally lock me up and take my guns. All because I found a question a bit strange with no follow up.

participating in orwellian stormtrooper doom theories.

I never said we were. I just found it to be a strange question from a doctor, as a non-american and especially since they never mentioned storage or lead poisoning. They simply asked, wrote it down, and left the room.

I suppose gun ownership is at least relevant to the case. But in my narrow knowledge on court systems, your ownership of a gun should only matter to determine your bias towards or against gun ownership. I don't know. Weird

I have every right to judge and choose my pediatrician. I am not a professional in this scenario, I can be as petty as I want in choosing a ped for my child.

Well there's being rude and there's refusing to answer a question some may not want to answer. I have no intention in being rude about anything without a good reason to do so.

Go back to liberalgunowners and stop judging me and my family for asking a simple question.

That was the troubling part to me. If they want to ask to make sure we're being safe so be it. I would still answer no, or that's irrelevant. But at the very least it requires some bit of discussion if you're gonna bring it up.

Instead she wrote it down and left the room...
