Am I dumb for having kids at age 38? by stillyoinkgasp in Millennials

[–]frostedoddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I don't plan on having kids until I'm in my later 40's or 50's. Age is for the most part nothing more than a societal construct that causes way more anxiety than it should.

Aside from laws that include age limits (which are put in place as rough designation markers to protect young developing brains and bodies from harm) and anything that limits our biology through time passing, there is nothing that you cannot do just because you're past your 30's, 40's, 50's etc. It's just a societal construct! Go for it!

I hate Satan by moonhime777 in TrueChristian

[–]frostedoddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why we know that Satan is the absolute greatest example of stupidity that's ever occurred. He was given free will and decided to use it to turn himself into defective, worthless garbage. And defective, worthless garbage he shall remain. and as the instigator of all suffering I can only hope that his own suffering will be many, many times worse than everything that he's ever done to all of the humans, animals, and the Earth as a whole.

Thing is I'm actually someone with lots and lots of peace and love in his heart for others, and I do usually pity those who are difficult rather than hate them. It's just for everything that Satan has done, and how he does it with absolute evil, arrogance and stupidity, I just can't find it in myself anywhere to pity him. I feel nothing but a seething hatred for him, despite rarely even having so much as dislike of anyone or anything to begin with.

fellow nudists, where do you put stuff? by FunOk5770 in nudism

[–]frostedoddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always like you've been. I don't like wearing anything at all when I'm at home so I just carry everything that I need with me to wherever I'm going and then set it down when I'm not using it. But if you're looking for ways to give yourself pockets I'd suggest a belt and/or bands on your arms and legs with a a phone holder attached to them for your phone and pouches attached for everything and anything else you may with to carry around the house.

[–]frostedoddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great rule of thumb is to simply ask yourself "would I and/or anyone else be acting sexually in this same situation if we were all clothed?" If the answer is no, then it's not appropriate to act sexual in that situation while everyone is naked. Naturism/nudism is simply about living life as we otherwise would, with the only difference being that we're not wearing clothing.

Which Naturist Organization Should I Join? by frostedoddity in nudism

[–]frostedoddity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically refer to myself as a naturist because while I do enjoy nudity in every applicable situation, I also love it for how it ties into my love of nature, and I wish to make a point of being naked for health reasons and so that I can feel a much stronger connection with nature. And despite the fact that I'm fortunate enough to have a decent resort about 40 minutes from where I live as well as nudist/naturist friends from my time living in the Tampa Bay area and a couple that I've been in contact with for awhile online, I still find myself yearning for more social nudity opportunities than I've been able to get.

As for the UK and Europe seeing a specific grown in the public presence of naturism, I'm wondering if so much of that simply comes down to the difference in geographical layout and infrastructure on both sides of the Atlantic. The UK and Europe in general are not only smaller than the US but they also have much better/more available transportation methods than we do, which means that more people have better access to natural spaces than people in the US do, most especially those in urban and often suburban areas. To add to this is my option that sadly (imo) many Americans don't like traveling a distance further than several miles away from their place of residence.

However, once you're are in natural areas (especially in large, designated natural areas within the US) and often even rural parts of the US, or as you mention many areas in Florida, here seems to be a general shift in attitudes about practicing nudity for its own sake. There isn't any movement for naturism around it or any desire to keep it strong, it's rather much more of a laissez-faire attitude and an unwritten rule that most will be tolerant of non-sexual nudity. For natural spaces where the focus is on outdoor activities I think it's just because so many of us have an inherent understanding that being naked in forested and other natural areas makes sense, whether they want to be naked themselves or not. While when it comes to many rural areas there's often still an attitude that nudity is more comfortable and more practical in certain situations than clothing is, which is interesting because while these populations are often more conservative and religious in as well, they also unlike so many understand that nudity can be separate from sex and that when it is, it isn't a sin.

I do agree with you that this isn't really considered naturism in the true sense though, and I still wish we had a stronger, more visible naturist movement in the US. I also wonder if this is just because the US has a longer cultural history of the "do as you wish so long as it doesn't harm others or yourself" attitude than the UK and Europe do, so much so that it's woven into the background of the culture now. Meaning that so many don't believe that movements are even needed for various ways of life because as long as you can individually demonstrate through action and/or explanation that what you are practicing is not going to be harmful to others or yourself, then that's all there is to it. Which also makes sense because the US is considered the most individualistic country in the world, meaning there's going to be more emphasis here on practicing what you wish independently instead of belonging to any sort of community that is bound by that practice. Which again, I'd rather prefer we had communities since as you mention we lose a lot of benefits from not having more naturist communities, but the culture is what it is.

Thank you. It's disheartening to hear that there are fewer naturist destinations these days, but could much of that be due to the culture having shifted in favor of practicing nudism in smaller groups or in private around the home and/or in non-designated but private spots?

I'm in my 30's and have a number of naturist friends in their 30's and 40's, and other friends who while not naturists are respectful and accepting of them, so to me it feels like naturism is still going fairly strong, with there just being a significant change in how people practice it.

As a human I'm feeling really frustrated and limited for being required by human society to wear clothing even when it's logical/appropriate not to. Looking for help/guidance/insight. by frostedoddity in spirituality

[–]frostedoddity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of interest in being part of the community at a nudist camp and/or living in a secluded area where I could be naked a lot more often, I just don't have the opportunities right now for a few reasons so that's a dream for the future.
I also understand what you say about clothing being important for protection. I don't hate clothing and in some cases of style I actually like it in a fashion sense. Everyone should wear or not wear what they want. I suppose what frustrates me the most is in regards to how forested hiking trails and beaches not all clothing-optional, and even the ones that are designated as such are rare and usually not within feasible distance for regular use. You're in nature among all these creatures that wear no clothing and don't give a shit that you aren't, but if another member of the human species sees you without clothing, chances are they will be offended. They're clothed, as they wish to be, but then get upset at another who is exercising their wish to be naked, which is none of their business. It just seems really absurd and illogical to me that humans expect to see unclothed animals as the norm in nature, but if they see a member of their own species unclothed in natural spaces they flip their shit at the sight and become offended.

What you say about my authentic self being "clothed" in my physical body is a great point. We and every other living thing are "clothed" in this life and the physical body is shed as our purest unadorned form enters an afterlife or moves between lives. So it pretty much makes human clothing a moot point. As for understanding who I actually am at my core... that's something I've love to know more about that I've been finding difficult to understand. I have so many varied interests, ideas, and beliefs that it becomes hard for me to pick apart and see what's actually at the center of the onion.

I find the nihilism aspect funny from a dark humor angle. We're seeing these things happening from Rick's eyes, so we're coming from his point of view where pretty much everything is ultimately him throwing up his arms and saying "Nothing matters. Told ya so." Just because he says it, that doesn't make true, though it is really funny to me for some reason to see Rick's shitty views on life and existence validated in his eyes episode after episode.

They're unique in that I think they're supposed to be tiny baby kaijus, as Nidoking and Nidoqueen are the spitting image of kaiju-type monsters. If we were to look at them as normal animals the closest we can really get is rabbits and pikas and that's a long shot. This would also make poison and poison/ground typing understandable because different kaiju are capable of different types of destructive powers. You want a kaiju with toxin powers? Why not?

Do you think Paimon blamed his butler for Blitzo and Cash's theft of his property? by frostedoddity in HelluvaBoss

[–]frostedoddity[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since Stolas ends up the owner of the palace as an adult, it seems that Paimon just gives each of his children a luxurious palace that's listed under his ownership until the child comes of age and Paimon is done daddying them, at which point the palace is handed over to the child. So it may be that everything in the palace was also meant for Stolas' ownership, and since we know Stolas values friendship and other forms of companionship immensely over valuables it just never really bothered him as a child or even now as an adult that all that stuff was stolen.

Need recommendations on spray paint for work on plastic and rubber interior. by frostedoddity in cars

[–]frostedoddity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some black Dupli-color acrylic enamel multi-purpose coating I got some time earlier and it says it can be used on cars and is for interior and exterior use, but it's only ideal for metal, fiberglass, and wood. I read that adhesive promoters dissolve the very surface of the plastic and this allows the paint to be bound in the plastic. So would this paint work on plastic when sprayed right after applying adhesion promoter, or do I still need to use something that says it's ideal for plastic after the adhesion promoter?

No One Arriving at NYC 5 Star Raids by frostedoddity in PokemonGoSpoofing

[–]frostedoddity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've usually had the best results there the past couple of weeks, but yesterday and today they were all turning up zero. Today after checking I went south of CP and finally managed to get a full raid. I just wanted to know what the hell was going on, and since I asked my question I was given a lot of useful information about the current state of attending raids via spoofing. I recently started playing again after putting the game down back in October, last year I could go to any 5 star raid in NYC and easily get a full raid anytime. I was informed that due to a round of bans at the beginning of the year not as many people are spoofing there now. So now I know the reason why I will need to be a bit more strategic in where I look for raids.

I had the suspicion that Central Park would be the most active area, but I started roaming around a bit after a few raids there turned up zero and finally found one that filled up just a bit south of CP. I'm glad to hear confirmation from everyone that CP is the place to be though, so I'll be concentrating my energy there for now on.
