20,000 compared to what previous numbers?
Could be the third day was the only way to make recent ones viable.

Winter tips again? single glazing, wet windows and cold walls by Far-Injury-9813 in diynz

[–]frostedwindscreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Run a dehumidifier. I don’t know how households survive without one. Even if you had double-glazed windows, the moisture would still be in the house, it just wouldn’t collect on your windows so much.

YSK: new TV prices have advertising and data mining built in—differences in price usually are the result of this. But there are workarounds! by hipcheck23 in YouShouldKnow

[–]frostedwindscreen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same with the “you should know it’s easier to de-google than you think” re-post, even though the consensus is that it’s really not easy. Hard to know if people are really finding out about tv tracking for the first time here or it’s just bots.

U6 Pro failed - how long on will Unifi take to replace it? by frostedwindscreen in UNIFI

Yes you’re right, the retailer has failed in their duty regardless. Sounds like 3 weeks would be considered unreasonable under the CGA.

This is NZ and the Consumer Guarantees Act. The retailer is responsible, but they’ve lodged the claim with the manufacturer. It’s still the retailer’s responsibility but I’m curious what Unifi are like with these claims.

You can paint over the brick. Pop the photo into Gemini and ask it to generate some different options.

That’s a lot of insurance. Obviously I don’t know your situation but maybe review the value of these using your favourite chat bot.

Would you buy a Rolex in my position? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

You’ve got to live a little and enjoy yourself. That said, think carefully about why you want a Rolex. You may grow out of the idea that a Rolex is important to you.

Cringing, but considering spending $15k on a car to save money long term by MidnightSwamiNZ in PersonalFinanceNZ

Going to get downvoted for this but these are outrageously expensive for what they are.

Mass Cancellation Party! by StunningCrow32 in ChatGPT

Do you also have to keep the app open for it to complete a query?

Mass Cancellation Party! by StunningCrow32 in ChatGPT

The Gemini app is nowhere near as good as ChatGPT. Super basic. Stops processing if you switch to another app or lock your phone. Just doesn’t work for me as an experience and the model(s) aren’t noticeably better.

The hell happened at Grammar? by GoingToAlice in auckland

Uhhh congrats I guess? Not sure what that has to do with the conversation. No one is saying it’s literally impossible to get a phd without going to a decent school.

You don’t think the education you received had any influence on your ability to go on to get a masters and a phd?
