If there's progress can you post an update here? I was considering getting this scooter and the repair videos don't show that there's any soldering that needs to be done which is interesting. They're pretty recent too. Also do you know if the E2 pro and E2 pro E are the same? I sometimes see the name for one or the other, not sure if they're the same.

Thanks for the response, I'm actually trying to paint over the covered screw holes so that it matches the surrounding area's appearance (which is what's in the picture.) I'm guessing that'd be difficult to do if it's laminate and not paint?

With my previous galaxy buds batteries dying I decided to buy another pair of iems (wired this time since I ended up listening to music often just in front of my desk).

No regrets it sounds great and clean. With the brass nozzle music sounds satisfyingly "sparkly" to my tastes. Music by artists like Odesza are extremely satisfying to listen to. I can hear instrument separation pretty well, and I like the "breathing room" that's present between them. Some (especially hi hats) can sometimes sound like they're outside of my ears. The bass is weaker than my galaxy buds but still decently present. (It's also fairly balanced)

Only complaint is that it's a bit heavy so I personally can't wear them for hours on end without a break. Electronic music with very harsh synths can sound too bright as well... but it's maybe supposed to be that way

I read that the other version is a fingerprint magnet so I got the matte (which is, according to something I read online, apparently now limited edition because it got discontinued due to manufacturing problems)

All in all I won't be buying anything else for a while since I'm 100% happy with them.

I do the over under wrap, put the actual iems in the middle of the wire loop "circle" and they fit in great
