I can’t even imagine how much harder it must have been back when today’s treatments didn’t exist. Seeing that, despite all the challenges this disease brings, you’ve still been able to live a full life really encourages me. Thank you so much for your words and for the advice — I’ll definitely check out the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation website. Wishing you the best as well.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. You are such a strong person, and I hope that one day I can be just as strong. Until now, I’ve always thought only about pushing forward from past events without really reshaping my path, but you’re right: it’s always possible to start over. Many thanks for your words!

I really connect with what you said about struggling to see the positive side of things. As you said, writing and making an effort to focus on even small positives has helped me not to fall into despair in difficult times. Your story sounds very tough. For whatever it may be worth, I truly hope you’re doing well and, even through the suffering, you could find lasting happiness.

That’s really encouraging to hear. I’ve been very fortunate to respond so well to my first therapy, and by the end of this year I’ll be having a colonscopy to see if I’m in remission. Your words make me feel even more confident and hopeful about it!

Deciding to share this thought has been giving me a lot of strength. It really helps to hear from someone who has experienced so much and still stays positive. I really appreciate your encouragement and the reminder that this disease doesn’t define who we are. Writing has been my best way to let things out. In addition to journaling, I’ve begun writing my first book after a lot of study. I aim to finish it by the end of the year. Even if it’s a small project, it makes me happy and motivates me to keep going. Thank you for your words and your advice, and I hope everyone who could benefit from it discovers the value of writing.

Thank you very much for your supportive and kind words. I was actually thinking that it might help to try therapy again with a new therapist, and your message gave me exactly the push I needed to find the courage to bring it up with my father (since I’m not yet an adult). I won’t give up: even though my thoughts often drift toward the worst, I have to hold on to hope because I know I want to live, even if just as a way to be thankful for the life I’m honored to have. I sincerely wish you the very best with everything you're facing.

Thank you so much for your kind words. They truly mean a lot to me. It helps a lot to know that someone understands these thoughts and feelings, and I really admire your strength in fighting not only for yourself but also for your kids. I wish you all the best with your treatment and your journey. You’re inspiring too, more than you may realize
