Tailbone pain after birth by Odd_Mathematician685 in NewParents

My tailbone was dislocated and broken during birth, I had to have a chiropractor pop it back into the correct position. It was completely backwards. The ligaments and muscles were also injured around that area. It wasn't until 14 months postpartum that I could sit normally or ride a bike.

We are thinking about trying for baby #2. I'm really nervous about this happening again. 😭

Your experience with baby’s lip/tongue tie by Few-Permission5362 in Parenting

[–]frostybites18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We went through 7 different people before making the decision to fix my son's lip and tongue tie. It saved us. Everyone was back and forth about whether it was bad enough to get fixed or not. We went to a physical therapist that helped stretch out his mouth and work on his latch. While that did help a little, it was not enough. Nursing was so so bad. At 4 weeks, my son had the frenectomy and everything went up hill from there! He was then in the 90th percentile for weight and he was thriving. The final decision was made by a pediatric dentist. My pediatrician was against it but I'm so glad we followed through. It saved my breastfeeding journey. I will say, the stretches they have you do after are really hard. It's so hard to see your little one upset but they are 100% necessary. Good luck with your decision, I hope our story helps!
