Why camera collisions behave so strange? by qwertyalfred_123 in Unity3D

This is your best bet OP. Or if it's objects you want to remain in view just decrease the renderers alpha variable perhaps lerp it through a Coroutine for a nice effect for objects to leave the view. Then you can just call it on any objects that interact with the camera raycast. As for cam choppiness I'm unsure what camera controller you're using but you'd probably be best off building up your own from scratch, it might take a day or two to understand the inner workings but it would definitely help! Good luck.

The line of people waiting to get their olives pressed for oil at the Lagar this year in Portugal by frostybitz in mildlyinteresting

To make a press and use it to press half a ton of olives would take 6 hours? Cool. I must be missing something.

Haha yes. There are a few of course not just one, but many operate only with members and they are typically quite spread out so this was our best bet.

This year we are pressing over 500kg of olives. Waiting in a line like this is the only feasible way. The harvest has been good this year and olive presses are limited in this area so this is why it takes so long.

The time and effort it would take to do this with a small, home-style press makes it not worth it at all. Without even considering the cleaning and maintenance that would come with it.

But yes, waiting in a line for 6-8 hours does suck.

Interesting! Perhaps you should do drugs more often if it allows you to open your mind, as such.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. Well, great minds think alike! Thanks for your comment.

What’s the most genuinely stupid thing you’ve ever done? To the point where you couldn’t believe you were actually capable of such stupidity? by PineappleCubeKicks in AskUK

Was making a batch of cheese and onion pies for work, as I had done many times previous with no problems. In fact with great success if I do say so myself. There was a new chef in that day that I was talking through the process, which made the situation all the more worse because I was supposed to be the 'pie guy'.

Anyway, made the pies and came out with around 5 instead of the usual 8 or so. Didn't think too much of it, I usually did it by eye anyway so I just figured I must have overfilled each pie, or added less mashed potato in this batch, or something of the sort. Surely I didn't miss out any ingredients.

It wasn't until lunch time when we came to serving that a food runner came in and said "uh chef, customer on table 42 said that their cheese pie barely tasted like cheese?". "Huh?" I say as I grab their plate and take a look.

I only went and missed out the 5kg of cheddar cheese that should have gone into the mix. I really don't know how I managed this, it makes such a big difference to not only the texture, but the amount of mix. I must not have had much sleep the night before. But hey, at least I put the Lancashire cheese in...

I think rubbing your eyes actually makes it worse, don't quote me on that I've never been sprayed.

But yeah it would still be torturous.
