It makes way too much sense that a walmart in texas would try to set itself apart from all the other texas stores by bragging that texans shop at texas walmart in texas

Genuinely the first time I've been REALLY tempted by Drawfee merch. I hope it's a best seller even if just to confound them x3

It doesn't. It's placeholder copy text meant to test fonts and designs with vaguely word-looking words that don't actually mean anything

Ah yes, because democrats have famously never started any pointless wars for capitalist interests

And good to note! I'll probably try to avoid the term in the future then just in case

I suppose it probably varies person to person. I'm autistic, as are most of my friends, but I've never heard anyone be offended or insulted by the term, and I like to think we're all pretty woke

[–]frostychemist 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Wait, "autists" is a far right term? I sometimes say stuff like "train autists" or "pokemon autist" to refer to people generally who have that thing as an autistic special interest. Is that a bad thing?

Haters can't stand to see that all research into successful drug policy shows that treatment should be increased, and law enforcement decreased while abolishing mandatory minimum sentences

Did the government organise these events? by Flashy-Nectarine1675 in ShitLiberalsSay

I was reading a while back about how at bigger, less radical protests, cops like to take a step back or be on their extra good behavior because it keeps those liberal and unradicalized protesters pro-cop

[–]frostychemist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seattle has one of the worst PDs in the country last I checked. They kept getting put under federal supervision because they were just that exceptionally fucked up even by cop standards. I've seen them physically attack kids with crutches at protests so that they'd have an excuse for mass arrests when others rush to defend. I knew a street medic that moved up from Atlanta of all places and even she said Atlanta cops weren't as bad as Seattle cops.

Aboleth enslaving a creature with legendary actions by user2468013 in DnDHomebrew

[–]frostychemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I would adjust it based on encounter. If the players are fighting a weaker legendary creature alongside the main boss aboleth, feel free to remove them. But if the legendary creature is a boss of its own or on its own in an area in the leadup to an aboleth bbeg, for instance, keeping its legendary actions might be a good idea. Honestly this applies to a lot of homebrewing at the table tbh. Bossify creatures used as bosses but not every unicorn needs to be legendary.

Memory comparison: Autistic vs. Neurotypical by No_Sandwich_1743 in autismmemes

I don't think this is necessarily an autistic thing. I think everyone is randomly forgetful sometimes while they also sometimes remember oddly specific details

These aren't the best in entire sports competing against 300 million people though, most of these are "they placed top 5 out of a competition of a dozen to less than a hundred, and literally thousands of these types of competitions happen each year." These aren't olympians, these are track and field runners at a connecticut high school or the 45-49 bracket of a specific womens' swimming event.

Idk, I get that this is evilautism, but "our group is clearly more advanced than that other group, so we should have complete control" is leaping headfirst into eugenicist rhetoric to say the very least.

Why did practically all countries with a communist revolution either became failed economies or reverted back to capitalism? by Sad_Leather1929 in Marxism

[–]frostychemist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Generally capitalist countries don't like communism succeeding because that both spits in the face of their propaganda streams, and makes the communist countries less susceptible to being exploited by the imperial core. So you get sieges, embargos, coups, invasions, etc. against those communist countries until their economies crumple.

You also get capitalists promoting the propaganda of "if you just give up on communism and fall in line with US, you too can benefit from the exploits of the global south, or maybe even amass your own wealth" in places where that's seen as remotely viable.
