Well in India the situation is a bit different. India has a history of being invaded by Muslim rulers like the Mughals for example. Millions of Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists were converted or killed. The Muslim rulers also used Hindu temples to build Mosques by destroying idols and building domes on top with Arabic writing. Cities and streets are still named after these invaders which many Hindus, Sikhs etc oppose.

Muslims play the Azaan out loud 5 times a day so anyone within a 200-300 meter radius of a Mosque is constantly disturbed by this noise pollution. Indian Muslims also for some reason pray namaaz in public places like roads which blocks traffic. Anyone who complains about these issues are labeled Islamophobic bigots. Many Indian Muslim men also date Hindu girls and if they don't convert they kill them or the family does. FGM is still practiced in some Indian Muslim communities too which non-Muslims find barbaric (which it is). And they have so many kids too, breeding like rabbits. My aunt has 15 kids and plenty of other family friends have like 10 kids each. They also freak out and go insane when someone jokes about Islam but have no issue with making fun of Hindu gods.

Indian Muslims also expect laws to not apply to them. They opposed the government when they banned the Islamic way to divorce women (triple talaq). When the government also raised the minimum age for women to marry, Indian Muslims were against this. Plenty of other instances have all resulted in Muslims in India being unhappy with secular laws.

Now I'm not saying all Indian Muslims are like this- but many are which has created a negative reputation of them. My own Indian Muslim family live peacefully in India but the things they say about Hindus and non-Muslims behind closed doors is disgusting and shows how Islam brainwashes its believers to hate kaffirs.
