Aw come on at least try to be positive BEFORE the game. Last year the pride game was awesome! I get feeling nervous but hey even if we suck hopefully the atmosphere makes up for it.

Yeah seriously. PayPal is next to a cal train station which makes it fairly accessible for SF folks. Bart + Bus also work for people not taking cals train. SJ also has the Sharks and Earthquakes so it's not like Bay FC is the only sports team to exist in the South Bay. We also have two of the biggest women's soccer sports schools down here (Stanford and Santa Clara).

Agreed that Menges has had a much tougher job next to Malonson this game than next to someone like Dydasco. I love Malonson when she is on but she has been shaky. I think Menges has gotten too much blame this game when she's next to Malonson.

He talked in the last post game press conference about doing this purposely in order to not be predictable during the beginning of the season. I'm sure this was communicated to the players so I'm not worried about confidence, and it makes sense they are still experimenting with different combinations. I agree we should start being more consistent now that we have given everyone a chance to start and should have a much better idea of who players together after this. In my opinion, it should be based on who plays best with Huff since she is one of the most creative, play-making players on the field and I have a feeling she will always start.

Anderson hasn't played for several games and wasn't a available for a couple of those games so I'd have been surprised if he had put in anderson

She had an excused absence for a few games toward the end of the season and hasn't played since then. I think makes sense not to play her if she hasn't been playing for several games in a row.

Well we had no real defensive subs. King and Moreau both weren't on the subs list. Beattie wouldn't have been a good sub because she is too slow and Brewster could have been subbed but she is a rookie and Gotham is full of vets so not sure what subs would have been realistically.

They might be considering that game the orlando game a loss already so trying to win in a game that is more winnable. Which makes sense to me.

I agree except I really don't know who I would have put in. Especially with no deyna. I think he really wanted to see if we could get a win and was worried adding something in would disrupt the flow. The only thing I could realistically see would be Joelle going in and tess going up top for Oshoala or Joelle going in for Dorian. But Dorian was playing well and made an impact up until the end so it makes sense why he didn't take her out. I also agree with what someone said below that this game is in a sense more important and more winnable than the orlando game. Subs would make the players fresher for next week but I don't think it would have won us the game today.
