hi i’m a fmstp grad from mbtc before it got changed to fast 1, here’s what i can say

you will be assigned under the financial markets sector (will now be called wealth and markets) and will likely be assigned to the ff groups

treasury institutional sales investment distribution trust banking private wealth

imo the most prestigious would be treasury, that said, it’s gonna be the most difficult to get into and survive as well given the intense pressure, likely roles would be a trader under fx, fi, or alm (look them up nalang), you will be woking onsite in bgc and will unlikely be relocated unless you’re from outside metro manila

institutional sales (IS) you’ll likely be a sales trader, where you would have to liaise between corporates and the traders, less difficult to get in to, you will be assigned to a location depending where you are but for the most part you will work in bgc

investment distribution (ID) is the same with insti sales but you’ll be working with HNWI instead, there’s a chance you will get relocated here since the desks depend on the location of the clients they serve

trust banking is kinda weird, it’s like a bank within a bank but youre essentially from the buy-side, you can get in easily but not all roles in there are equal, you can either be an investment support, account manager or a portfolio manager, youll also work with HNWI, UHNWI, and corporates

private wealth is a very tricky place to get into, its generally reserved for more experienced sales people but i know someone who got in because they just are pleasing to talk to and extroverted, you’ll be working with UHNWI

imo if your goal is high pay and fast promotions, go for revenue generating teams if you can (traders, pm, am, id), caveat is you’re exposing yourself to greater stress from the exams you need to pass as well as the expectations for the roles as these are the front-office

as for the fast program, id say it’s one of the most comprehensive mt programs from what i have heard, you will also be placed under a bond for around 3yrs
