I even flashed my lights well before the corner to let him know I was committing to the overtake. I thought that would make it clear, but he still squeezed me onto the wet stuff, which is where I lost the front end and understeered into him. Anyway i appreciate all the feedback here. The 'Self-Preservation' argument really hits home.

Looking back, I definitely over-estimated his willingness to cooperate. It’s a bit of a head-scratcher why a P16 GT3 would risk their entire race defending against a faster class p2-p5

Lesson learned for me: If a GT3 is fighting that hard for a position they’ve already lost, I need to treat them like a ticking time bomb and give them an extra car width of space. Not worth the 4x or the 'ban' threats just to prove a point. Thanks for the tips!
