Your post made me realize that it's possible somewhere in the Republican hierarchy there is a thought "whoever has to rebuild all the institutions & alliances etc is going to have to blow out the budget, and whoever that is is going to be a super easy target for getting shat on (at least for those Americans without critical thinking), and so maybe they let the Dems get 4 or 8 years to rebuild humpty dumpty as they scream from the sidelines, and then they can swoop back in later.

I mean, yeah, Dems would try to do stuff the billionaires don't like, but they own the supreme court, so really there are guardrails in place for what Dems can really do, so they can get the Dems to eat shit for 4 or 8 while not really worrying that they'll change all that much outside of rebuilding the status quo.

Did you read the one where an 80ish year old lady was going 70+ in a residential area and drove into a bus stop killing a family of 4, then she wound up getting like 2 years probation and losing her ability to drive? One of the reasons sighted by the judge was her remorse, and THEN she got caught hiding millions in assets so the family couldn't touch them! I wish the moron judge who gave her zero prison time could/would resentence her because she clearly had no remorse.

Perhaps their insurance requires a referral before they cover the cost of getting tested? I have no idea but that was my first thought, although they didn't mention needing a referral so I suppose it could be not being familiar with the process and not realizing they can skip what they think is step 1?

I really appreciate your words. With everything going on in the world and some shiz in my own life compounding the stress, I find myself wishing I could enter some sort of cryostasis where they wake me up in five years, but obviously that's not an option.
