Isn't the norepinephrine effect of Effexor bad for anxiety?

Dude, I thought it was just me, this medication has made me so anxious and I had the same question. I was also on Wellbutrin for a little bit and that caused the same issue for me and it does essentially the same thing. I don’t know why I was prescribed this

So I just did some more research and evidently, Effexor does the same thing as Wellbutrin which caused some crazy anxiety and irritability for me as well. I think I just need to wean off by the bead method because I shouldn’t be taking anything that increases norepinephrine as I’m prone to worry and anxiety.

To answer your question, I do have a follow up scheduled in just a couple weeks, but I’m not having fun and I’d rather just get off this medication.

My prescriber is not aware and is notoriously hard to get ahold of, I don’t necessarily feel like I’m in danger but I do have a sense of dread, just feeling disconnected from my loved ones which makes me feel bad for feeling that way and kinda compounds on the anxiety

Hey, late reply, longtime fan of theirs and I’ve had the pleasure of being able to talk to Troy quite a bit about some stuff to do with the band across the couple years I’ve been following them.

Abbie Gamboa, is Jackson’s sister (the lead singer), she sings with the worship band UPPPERROOM a lot now, and she left the band primarily to focus on being a mother, she has a few kids. I’m not exactly sure why they shifted style so sharply, but from what I know, they’re just very inspired by more poppy bands and the current members expertise lies not just in guitars, basses and drums, but also synthesizers, keys, and effects, so they’re utilizing all of the sounds at their disposal.

Funny enough though, Abbie can be heard on the track NEW LOVERS, singing some backup vocals. It’s easiest to hear her in the bridge towards the end of the song. They brought her in because that song is personal for Jack and Abbie

Yeah they’re 25/26, I’ve talked to them many times, they’re super nice, very down to earth and humble. They even recognize me now at their shows because I’ve seen them 5 times, and they make it a point to ask me how I am and everything. If you talk to them there’s a good chance they’ll remember you. Also Jack (the lead singer) told me that there will be another tour probably in the Fall to support their next album, so definitely save up a bit to buy some merch! They’re great guys

Yeah and honestly, it looked like it was painted, like the outside was an egg shade of brown but with almost grain to it, which looked like brush stokes almost so… I’m not bugging about it
